Disappointed!
I recently bought this unit after attempting to research the operating noise level. This was difficult to sort out online. I then went to PC Richards and one of the salesman came over. After much discussion he was able to show me on his phone that this unit had a noise level of 55 and was considered quiet.
It is anything but quiet. Actually is louder than my old discarded unit. My gauge is the volume I need to put my TV on to hear it while operating the AC. Very disappointing that the info given was not reliable

Have had Friedrich units in past - other than outward appearance nothing much changed except now has wifi and includes more installation accessories. Wifi instructions fail to give crucial bit of info for you to get to operate so you will waste much time getting connected. Look on YT for answer. Basically it is a $800 white noise generator that happens to moderately cools a room. Nothing has improved in noise - it is 1-2decibels louder then prior comparable models. Remember folks, these ac units are no longer materially designed or manufactured here (true of main competitors). Had a more descriptive and helpful comment but was unduly censored.

Not a happy customer
Friedrich unfit series 8000 btu air conditioner I had two units one lasted a summer and the other not even a season the freon leaked out and had it repaired and it happened again I’m on my third unit the only reason is its the only unit that fits my wall sleeve I would never recommend this ac and I’m very disappointed with Friedrich
