Pretty good - recommended by our HVAC guy so, it's worked well. He originally suggested the more cost saving option if buying a cheaper smaller window unit off of Amazon but we didn't want to just leave the old AC in the wall so! This is better

Excellent cooling and fast not noisy at all i purchased the extended warranty for 5 yrs because these units do not last past 4 yrs or 4 summers sad but for 1000 bucks beware unfortunately i have window sleeve and friedrich 27 inch fits perfectly

Friedrich Wallmaster -excellent design and perform
The ac is excellent in both design and performance. In terms of design my visitors thought is a split unit -that’s how impressive the design, the airflow is remarkable you can feel the difference of each of the speed and the ability to control the air direction. The thermostat is on time when the set temperature is reached.

Great In-Wall A/C
We recently bought a condo which requires Friedrich in-wall A/Cs. The unit works very well, has energy saving controls and works very well. The sale and installation experience was excellent at the Steinway Street store where we bought another A/C recently.

Quiet and efficient

Friedrich Wall Sleeve A/C
The A/C fits perfectly into the Wall Sleeve. With the different adjustments make it convenient to have the room very cold or what ever your comfort zone is. I would recommend this to everyone

Very quiet, works great
After getting a faulty unit, with a very loud compresor and that wasn’t working, P.C. Richards sent me a new unit that works as advertised. At first I was feeling like I shouldn’t pay more for the wallmaster, but the new unit convinced me otherwise. I’ve read other reviewers complaining about it not being quiet, they should contact the store or Friedrich to get it replace, because this Wallmaster is very quiet.

So far, so good...
I only had this ac for a few weeks, so I cannot vouch for its durability, but so far so good. I got the 8000 BTU version since my bedroom is not huge, and it quickly and effectively cools the room off very nicely (the first night, I mistakenly set the temperature too low, and actually needed a blanket during a heatwave.) I've seen some complaints about it being tricky to turn on, but it's really not-- just press the power button once to light up the display, and a second time to start the cooling.
I have not tried using the WiFi feature yet, so I can't say if it works or not. I really don't have a reason to use it, so I don't care. The remote control works fine and feels solid/durable.
I'm not sure why Friedrich markets this as being "whisper quiet." It's not. It sounds like an air conditioner... not noticeably louder or quieter than pretty much any other large ac I've used.
I'm knocking off one star for the price. It's absurdly expensive compared to other ACs, but since it's the only one that perfectly fits the 27" sleeve, Friedrich has a monopoly and can charge whatever they want, I guess.
So, in summary, it's an effective, easy to use ac (and pretty nice looking, if you care what your ac looks like), but it's overpriced.
I just hope it lasts....

Manual outdated
The manual mentions handles and buttons that don't exist. According to Reddit it has been this way for over 3 years. Given how expensive the model is, providing proper directions about how to clean the filter is the least they can do.

The MENU button needed to program the Wifi to your mobile device is located between the touch pad/screen and the cover that is removed when filter cleaning is needed. In that gap on the upper left side. If you your fingers there you’ll feel them because it’s NOT visible to the eye the way it’s shown in the instructions manual. I’m still trying to connect it, but just finding this mysterious button took time. And FYI there’s a RETURN button next to the MENU button. It cools well.

Great AC, cools my room super fast. The smart app/WiFi connecting is annoying. You must use “FriedrichConnect” only and not FriedrichGo app. I’ve had it for less than 1 month and have had to reconnect/reregister again. Customer Service was very helpful troubleshooting.

Almost as good as the older model, almost.
Works as good as can be expected. A little noisy at first until it settled into the sleeve. Thermostat isn’t as sensitive as the older model and have to set 2° lower to get the temperature right when set to auto. If your room is close to the max square footage rating, I would suggest choosing the 10,000 BTU unit.

The Wallmaster rattles and vibrates which makes it hard to fall asleep. Must keep temperature below 70 degrees in order to remain cool.
