The one that went out fried the control board after 4.5 years of service. This one is the same size and slid into the old chassis making installation easy. The features are slightly different but seem nice so far such as the fan ramping up and down when needed as well as the Dry mode.

With winter approaching it was decision time. She heats with a wood heater in the dead of winter but for the so so cool spells we get in Louisiana the window unit with the heat is a no brained. Ordered it and received it in a timley fashion and lucky for me installed in the same opening perfectly despite the years of difference. The outside cabinet did have a small bend in the top of the side/top corner but not bad enough to return unit. Since install she has been using it as needed. She’s happy and warm.
