A quiet air conditioner
Yes, it really is a quiet air conditioner. With the green laws, A/Cs have undergone major redesigns. I picked this one out from the New York Times Wirecutter review, "The 6 Best Air Conditioners" (Aug 30, 2023).

Very convenient, cools super fast!
I love this AC! I live on the top floor in NYC and have no shade throughout the day. This AC has been great at quickly cooling down my bedroom (@ 250 sq feet). I chose the 8000BTU because I get so much sun including the afternoon sun. The smart feature also means I can monitor the room temperature from work and adjust as needed and pre-cool before I head home. So convenient

QUIETEST MOST EFFECTIVE AC
WOAH is this quiet- when the sales guy had said this was quiet, he wasn't kidding. I've had several window units and this is by far the quietest and most effective AC - only wished I had gotten it earlier in the summer. Highly recommend

Great air conditioner
We bought this air conditioner based on the excellent ratings given to it by Consumer Reports and we haven't been disappointed. It's very quiet, cools the room very well. It replaces an old nosiy and heavier air conditioner in our bedroom and is so quiet, we are sleeping better at night.

I then bought 3 more Gallery and took the other brand/model I bought back. I bought the 10,000 Gallery as well and also love it. Amazingly, I can lift both the 8K and 10K. Previously I could only lift and move a 6K window AC.

I Really liked this unit, turns out though that I purchased the wrong kind, and had to purchase another brand to fit in the space I have. I own another Frigidaire unit that I have had for amny yesra and still like it very much, easy install and control.

It's hard to see in the dark and you can't feel the buttons. Small issue compared with how quiet it is. This is in our bedroom so the sound was level was important to us.

Nice and Quiet

- The unit is exceptionally quiet; as quiet as central air/hvac.
- The eco mode/auto fan (at 72° for me) adequately cools living room/dining room/kitchen, with little effort. Compressor on/off sound barely perceptible.
- The Frigidaire App (android) has plenty of control options. Wifi/App setup to connect w/unit was made easier using the video/faq's.
- Seamless connection to Google Home/Nest, using voice prompts to control unit.
- Plugged into an appliance-grade smart outlet; will see how electricity use tracks, so too soon to comment on power use.
So far I'm happy with this product and would recommend purchasing it.

Cooling well so far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased this about a month ago. It has not been very hot here yet but that will come soon. I switched it on for a few nights and this is super quiet. I can hear a fly at night so I need quietness and this is great. I look forward to putting this to the test on these hot summer nights. My room is about 300 square foot so this should do the job.

Amazingly Quiet Unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a failed unit with this one and bought it because of it's noise specifications. I am using it in my bedroom. Honestly, unless you are trying to hear it, it is drowned out by other household sounds. As others have said, it is no more noisy than a small air purifier. The cooling is even. More so than the unit that it replaced, which was another major name brand. I have had the unit for three months now. Very impressed. Longevity is yet to be determined and will update if it dies sooner than my experience with other window units.

Works Great!

Great AC Unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I seen the 1 star reviews about remote and Wi-Fi but honestly I wouldn't pay them no mind. The new app and Wi-Fi setup process isn't the simplest to do but once setup it works. You need to use the application to setup the Wi-Fi on the unit and after it's connected I had to unplug the unit from the wall for a minute and plug it back in to reboot the Wi-Fi in the unit. Then I closed the app on my phone and reopened it and it has worked every time I needed to use it. The remote works fine as well and a neighbor who has this unit had issues with his remote due to him ripping the tab piece out to quick and ripping it and not fully removing it from the tray so the battery was not making contact. Overall though the unit has been great and does a wonderful job. I love being able to set up schedules for it as well.

Quiet and efficient!

The room we've put it in is smaller than the suggested room size and it's perfect for us who love it cold. Super cold, quiet and easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to replace a 15K BTU window unit that had finally died. I could not believer how QUIET this one is. Even if I hadn't been replacing an old rattling unit, this one is super quiet, even on high. It also cools extremely well. I have a room where two sides are all windows, and it faces east and gets lots of sun, and this 8K BTU has no problem cooling down the room. I knew the 15K was overkill but I was trying to compensate for the windows and sun. By the room size calculation, 6K was supposed to be enough but I went with the next step higher because of the sun and heat in the room. 8K BTU is plenty. This was also very easy to install. I had it in and everything screwed in by 30 minutes. It also has WIFI which I don't particularly need, but one nice feature; if I go to bed or leave the house and forget to turn the AC off, I can use my phone to turn it off. You can set up a schedule for it to turn on and off as well, which is nice. So it's definitely a great air conditioner and I highly recommend it if it fits your needs.
