Great watch!
I switched from a Samsung Gear watch. This has far more features, and a great screen. Plus it holds a charge for a long time.

Great watch
I bought the 47mm a month ago after the owner of the company I work for got one for his birthday. I already owned a 51mm that I use for running. The 47mm is the perfect size for an everyday watch and you have all the great features the 51mm has with the exception of battery life. For myself that’s not a deal breaker as I just love the Fenix 8 watches.

I have had this watch a couple months. Upgraded from Fenix 6x sapphire. Love it. Screen bright and clear. Love flashlight. Really like answering calls and talking through watch.

Great overall sports smart watch
I bought my Fenix 8 AMOLED Saphire about one month ago and love it. The amount of data it provides is really great. It takes a bit longer to set everything up as liked (Apple Watches are a bit easier to get that accomplished), but once you are done everything is easy. Love the longer lasting battery (my average is about 10 days) that supports training, reading and reviewing data. The silicone bands are light and feel great too. Thumbs up and a definite buy recommendation from me !!

Fun Watch!
Upgraded from a Fenix 7 and my 70 year old eyes appreciate the Amoled display. I may not use all the features available to me...but I track a lot of my activities and appreciate the health monitoring insights.

Huge upgrade
Had Fénix 7 for 4yrs or so and decided to replace for marathon season. Everything about this watch seems better. Screen is very sharp, with vivid colors. I thought for sure the battery would be a huge issue, but not even a little. There’s a few features that allow it to run fo over a week even with the improved screen. Not an amazing feat by Fénix standards, but compared to any other smart watch, it’s revolutionary. I suppose if i dint have “always on” going it could last for at least twice that.
Same level of comfort, and the clasp seems a bit more secure (as do the little things that hold down the excess). Love the watch, would buy again and recommend to anyone.

Amazing Upgrade
I upgraded to the Fenix 8 a month ago and absolutely made the right choice. Hardcore Garmin user since the Fenix 3 , I use their diver computers and cycling as well. This watch does it all and with an amoled display. You can't go wrong.

Great watch. Worth the extra money.
I love the watch. I’m really enjoying the different tracking metrics and challenges. The gps features are very clear and precise. I previously had a Fitbit, which I really enjoyed, but I’m glad I stepped up to the Garmin. The touchscreen is a little sensitive so I often will disable the feature when I’m not working out. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Amazing and overwhelming
There is so much to this watch. I’m coming from an Apple Watch and there is so much more detail and features available to this Fenix 8 it’s amazing but also overwhelming. I’m not too tech savvy so it has taken time and patience to learn what I want, how I want it to look, and also what else is available that will benefit me. I can’t wait to learn and use it for gaining a better health.

Easy to use
I bought the watch 2 months ago and I have loved every second. I was nervous about navigating thru it's features and modes coming from an apple background but it was a breeze.

My Fenix 8
I love this watch! Admittedly, it has more capabilities than I use, but the features I use are very good. Wearing the watch along with my Oura ring didn’t last long and the latter has been relegated to my dresser drawer as the former does everything the Oura does and more… especially in sleep tracking.
I’m pleased I got the 47mm rather than the 51mm.
The display on the AMOLED is great. I did change the watch strap as the orange was pretty obnoxious.

Nice watch
Love the watch however it was most shocking when I found out that you have buy different faces for it , I would think that a watch that cost as much as it does, that would be somewhat included, just because of that fact I might return it

Exceptional multifunction watch
I've had my Garmin Phoenix 847 mm for about a month and I've used it everyday. I'm an avid golfer and it is fantastic for the game of golf also great for tracking daily activity, my daily walks, I absolutely love the tactical and regular flashlight built into the watch which allows me to get up at night and not have to turn on any lights. We recently had a major storm come through the area where power went out and I navigated the entire house and the breaker panels with my watch - very convenient. There's almost not a single use in my life that I do or this watch doesn't come in handy. Sometimes it's a little confusing on where things are located and what buttons to push but I keep going back to the YouTube video and that's helpful. Don't forget in the activities menu you can edit them and change where the appear in the menu so now Golf appears at the top of my activities for me and then other things based upon their use are now in priority order, that is also very helpful. I don't have enough good things to say about it. If you don't like the bezel color, I ordered different bezels that go on the top of it that are silver and red, black and white, so now you have multiple bezels you can use as well as multiple faces you can pick from and just transform the watch to look many different ways. Very cool

I've been using my new Garmin watch since I've unboxed it, and I can confidently say it's an exceptional device, especially for all types of runners. As someone who consistently logs 35-40 miles per week, I need a reliable and feature-rich watch, and this Garmin model delivers.
From the moment I started using it, the watch's capabilities impressed me. It's packed with an array of fantastic features that genuinely enhance my running experience. What truly stands out is the mapping function; it's incredibly good and remarkably accurate. Unlike my previous experience with an Apple Watch, I've yet to lose a signal with my Garmin, which is crucial for tracking my routes and pace without interruption. This consistent GPS performance alone has been a game-changer for my training.
The overall build quality and user experience are top-notch. It feels robust on the wrist and the interface is intuitive, making it easy to access all the data I need on the fly. The reliability and precision of this Garmin have made it my go-to choice, and I find myself reaching for it far more often than any other smartwatch I own.
If you're an avid runner looking for a dependable, accurate, and feature-rich GPS watch that won't let you down on the trails or roads, I highly recommend this Garmin. It's truly a very good watch that has significantly elevated my training.

Upgrading Fenix 7 to 8
One month in. Not cheap but it is lighter, flashlight great for night runs, and I can actually see the AMOL display with my dodgy short sightedness = much needed! Is a little slow to turn on when you flick your wrist over to see the time and not cheap but great overall if you are an active user.

Awesome Watch Excellent Features
The Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED 47mm is an excellent watch, its advanced health tracking and golf features, are super cool. The bright AMOLED display is easy to see and read. My watch offers in-depth health insights, including heart rate variability, sleep quality, recovery status, and personalized energy monitoring through the Body Battery feature. I love the built-in GPS with Plays Like distances, Virtual Caddy, automated shot tracking, and access to thousands of courses. Despite all these features, its battery life is out of this world. I recommend this watch whether you're training for peak performance or fine-tuning your golf game. I love my Fenix 8.

Excellent in All Regards
I bought the Fenix 8 after a couple of less-than-optimal experiences with competitor products. After several months with the watch, I am convinced that there is not a more thoughtfully designed sports watch on the market. Everything on this watch just works, and Garmin has thought of everything. Even small details like the watch automatically ejecting water from the speaker after a watersports activity speak to the level of detail that Garmin focused on when designing this watch. The software is fast and fluid, the screen is brilliant, and the health and exercise data collected is precise and presented in a useful and palatable format. The only thing that I feel could use some improvement with the watch is that when I take a phone call from the watch, there is evidently a lot of microphone feedback, as in people talking to me through my watch hear a significant echo of everything they say.
Overall, an excellent watch that I feel is well worth the higher price tag.

The watch that does it all!
From backpacking, to running, to working out, this watch does it all. Instead of asking what this watch can do, the better question is what can it NOT do. The battery life is amazing and the GPS capabilities are unmatched. The AMOLED face is super bright even in the direct sunlight. Definitely not a watch that a beginner would need, but an amazing tool for an avid explorer and athlete!
