Stunningly awesome
Truly the most awesome personal electronic technology device I have ever had the pleasure of using. 51mm screen allows quick to get info. be it trail map, bike route, kayak map, or trail run stats. Wealth of available apps is impressive. Personal monitoring: EEG - crazy. Size of watch not an issue. Only negative for me was lack of I reach capability. Must have for mountain hiking. So I'm upgrading to fenix 9 pro.

Great Battey Life & Lots of Customizable Features
Great battery life and just a little less while using GPS. Keeps track of my days physical activities, such as mountain biking, workouts at the gym and flying my paramotor. My wife love the tracking and it gives her piece of mind. Works well with my chest strap heart monitor. Very customizable!

A worthy Upgrade!
I recently upgraded my garmin gear. I was an original fenix 3 HR owner with the sapphire glass. It served its life well and is still alive and fully functional! The main reason for upgrade was the battery life was deteriorating.
I debated for quite a while on which model 8 to go with and ultimately chose the AMOLED display in the same 51mm. I’m blown away with the performance and options this new piece of kit has to offer. It’s a learning curve with the new features and apps this can handle but it was a worthy upgrade.
To note. Most of my long thru hikes last a few weeks max. My runs are 10k in the woods. And I’m normally close to civilization or carry a charger. But I have yet to need to charge this thing until I get home. Even over 14 days while using the tracking when set up correctly I made it home wi the at least another 2 weeks of life left in the watch.

Huge Step Up in Sleep & Recovery Insight
Upgraded from an 8-year-old Fenix 5 Pro Sapphire that still works perfectly, sapphire screen still pristine. That's Garmin quality for you, and it's why I'm pretty much a forever customer at this point. The Fenix 8's sensors are a big leap forward: sleep tracking is far more detailed, with real onset/wake accuracy instead of rough estimates, plus Body Battery, HRV, SpOâ‚‚, and restless moments working together to actually explain how I'm recovering. AMOLED display is gorgeous and easy to read anytime. This is my daily driver watch, and it's earned that spot.

Too much!!! In a good way
I know, I know ... For a suburban dad, middle aged and a recreational sports guy, this thing is total overkill. But, that's why I love it... The running, weight training, music storage, customization, golf, cycling, skiing, yoga, and all activities make this thing a beast. It's too big, it's too robust, and I absolutely LOVE it. Great step up from the Fenix 6 which I had for 6 years or so. Wouldn't go back!

No buyers remorse. Excellent watch/tracker
30 days in with the watch and it is performing extremely well. Battery life is insane with normal use and apps/ menus are very responsive. I upgraded the band to a Bandletic which compliments the 51mm perfectly.One downside is the adaptive brightness which can not be customized or switched off. Otherwise this has been a solid watch and enjoyable to use. I still wear my Mudmaster for heavier outdoor work just in case.

I bought the Garmin fenix 8 AMOLED (51mm) about a month ago and love it. There is a bit of a learning curve to find and configure all the settings and link to Training Peaks (if you use TP).

My new Garmin Fenix 8 51mm Amoled has a lot to live up to as it's replacing my Garmin Fenix-5 Pro that absolutely has performed above and beyond the call of duty for the last 8 years and is still going strong today. Right out of the box the Fenix 8 is hitting home runs everyday. I absolutely love this watch. The information it provides and the simplicity of the software is top notch. Very happy with my purchase. Great Multisport watch the smartphone is a bonus!!
I've have the Fenix 8 for my active lifestyle. Great battery life, I get around 19 days when I have to charge. I could get 21 days but don't want to risk it. I'm active and record my cycling, running, hiking and sleep. The set-up was easy using the Garmin Command app and Connect IQ for my customizations and the voice commands is great addon. Using the watch as a phone is a plus.

Epix pro 2 to Fenix 8.
Coming from an Epix pro 2. Fenix 8 fit is amazing. Same features and the way to swap watches is seamlessly. My only complaint is the action buttons. You can only save 3 favorites so you better just use voice commands (watch it on YouTube) and this will save you many steps of locating what exercise to choose. Known bug, wrist movement and the whole screen is not bright.

I have never owned a watch that kept such detailed and accurate measurements and metrics of my physical condition, etc. Very happy with this watch for its durability. the longevity of the battery life, and of course, using it for training to ensure that I am getting the best results.
