Gas Cooktop Installation Services

• Make sure there`s a clear path between your front door and your kitchen.
• Bring the gas cooktop into your home and place it in the kitchen within its box
• If purchased, we'll haul away your old cooktop if it's already disconnected

• Disconnect and remove your old cooktop
• Secure your new cooktop to the countertop with manufacturer-supplied hardware
• Connect it to your existing code-compliant gas line with functional shutoff valve
• Connect it to your existing code-compliant in-cabinet 115V electric outlet
• Clean up the packing materials

Note: If your cooktop is going to be placed above an undercounter wall oven, or if you're adding downdraft venting, we'll need to take a quick survey of the installation spot beforehand. We'll contact you in advance to schedule this survey. Once that's done, we'll schedule the actual installation.

For an additional cost, we can do the following:

• Haul away your old cooktop
• Install downdraft venting
• Convert your new cooktop to LP gas (conversion kit sold separately)
• Enlarge counter opening

Unfortunately, we cannot do any of the following:

• Install a Natural or LP gas shutoff valve
• Adding, running, or relocating gas line
• Adding, running, or relocating electric line (outlet)
• Direct-wired installation

• Existing code-compliant in-cabinet 115V electric
• Existing code-compliant gas line with functional shutoff valve
• Existing countertop opening

• Clear your cooktop’s path, and make sure your doorways, hallways, and stairways are wide enough for your purchase to pass through.
• Be advised that an adult over the age of 18 must be present in your home to accept the delivery.

• Your cooktop will be delivered curbside at your home with no installation or in-home placement.
• Kindly note that this is the only option for delivery addresses outside of the P.C. Richard & Son local area.
• Unfortunately haul-away is not an option for freight deliveries.

• Be advised that an adult over the age of 18 (19 in Nebraska or Alabama) must be present in your home to accept the delivery.
• It's a good idea to make sure at least one more person is around to help carry your cooktop into your kitchen.
