LOUD BUZZER
We like the dryer’s capacity. As long as we keep the exhaust clear, the time it takes to dry large loads is respectable. As you have read in other reviews, the end of cycle buzzer is EXTREMELY LOUD and LONG!!! To the GE engineers; if you know the buzzer is loud enough to garner all these complaints, then design a softer buzzer and make them available. This is our only complaint. Please make a softer buzzer AND an option to silence the buzzer.

I don't regret opening a credit card for this one!
The best dryer I've ever had. My washer and dryer were Maytag and I thought that was the best; I stand corrected after only using my GE washer and dryer for a week! My laundry looks, feels, and smells amazing!

Great Warranty.... but THANK YOU BIG BROTHER
The life expectancy of appliances in this day and age is poor. Therefore a 5-star rating is impossible to give. I will say the 5 year warranty on parts, service, and labor sold us. (I understand government reglations have made it impossible for manufacturers to build them to last. Thank you Big Brother.) Instead we dump them in landfills. I also discovered the buzzer that sounds when drying is completed is LOUD and annoying with no way to change the setting, that I can see at this point. Disabling it would likely void the warranty so I guess we live with it. The feature is nice but must it wake the dead?
We have used it one day. My hope is the 4-stars holds longer than 5 years and 1 day.
Sorry for the pesimistic review unfortunately this is our experience so far with all appliances purchased in this day and age. Hold on to your old appliances until they die completely!

Works well!!!
Needed to replace our clothes dryer that broke. I didn't have a dryer for two weeks and needed a replacement ASAP. Had to get used to the settings which were different from my previous dryer. I was disappointed that this model did not have a low setting, so had to have a learning curve getting used to the settings. My only complaint is that the buzzer telling when the cycle is finished, is "VERY" loud. My laundry room is on the main floor so it is quite loud and cannot lower the sound on this model. It would be great if the dryer was in the basement to be able to hear it upstairs. I was so anxious to get a new dryer, I may have overlooked these features. Over all, it is doing a good job drying my clothes!!!
