Great Design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had many freezers over the years and this one is the best I have owned. It's big and roomy and designed well. I love the glass shelves and drawers and door compartments. And it is very quiet. I also love that the controls are on the outside on the door. You don't have to open the door to adjust temp, etc.

Perfect freezer!

Good Features
We've only had the freezer for a few days, but it works well. The food freezes fast and there is plenty of room. Our old one was not frost free. This one is great for our needs.

GARAGE FREEZER
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new freezer takes up less space than a chest style freezer, is very quiet and holds everything I removed from my refrigerator but is easy to access because of the more than adequate space and shelving. Temperature remains stable and so far, the energy use has been minimal. We are glad we purchased the energy star model.

Bigger than my last freezer and more shelves too
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice and roomy and has lights inside so I can see clearly. Is very quiet and shiny. Lots of shelves and drawers. Temps seem to hold steady @-5 right where we set it. So far nice.

So Far so Good

Spacious Freezer

The alarm is very helpful because my husband tends to leave it open. There is plenty of space for all of my husband’s junk food as well as my meals that I prepare in advance.

Spacious Surprise: GE FUF170DLREWW Upright Freezer

The freezer looks significantly larger in person than it appeared in the online photos. Make sure you've measured your intended location carefully, as it does have a substantial footprint.

Nice GE freezer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched from a chest freezer to this upright freezer. Best move ever. The ability to organize is so much better than the chest freezer that you can actually see what is in there without digging out half the food to see what's in the bottom. The unit is very quiet. This model has the glass shelving which I prefer over the wire shelves. I've only had it a short time but, everything is nicely frozen at the temperature default setting. Plus, it, a nice- looking unit. It also has 3 drawers that are very useful. It has decent capacity at 17.3 cubic feet. I can't comment on how much electricity it's going to use since I've only had it a short time. It is energy star rated.

My folks bought a GE frig when I was born in '49 and it was still working well when my mom passed in '00. My recent purchase was the perfect capacity I needed, with options to fit a bit more. Very low noise level. Easy install in minimum floor space. Deep door shelving a real plus Seems very energy-efficient.
