The small chimney cover did not wrap over the main chimney as designed. One butterfly damper flap did not operate smoothly on its pivot. It bent when manually activated. I used the old butterfly dampers from the replaced hood; they opened and closed smoothly. The fan off button has an odd crushing plastic sound, but operates well.

It needs to be wiped once a week but shows less dust and dirt then white or straight stainless. Haven’t cleaned the underneath yet but looks pretty straight forward. Like that the controls are raised on the front - it keeps fingerprints to a minimum. Reasonable sound level to the vent but is also located in a large open floor plan house.

However, the instructions were incomplete for venting the unit directly through the outside wall which was necessary in this two-story home. I had to call customer service to confirm that I was following a proper procedure. While the low fan setting is generally sufficient any setting on the fan greater than low is a bit loud. The down pointing lights are excellent.
