We didn't need a fancy range. GE is a proven appliance going back to it's introduction decades ago. This GE replaced a 24 yr old Kenmore. I did noticed the weight difference between the old vs new range. As with everything today the new GE has been downsized regarding material used to manufacture. Hopefully, this GE will prove to be as good as the old range.

The burners are a little challenging to clean because I am very cautious about not wanting to scratch them, but I am so glad our family bought it. We had an old electric range with coil top burners that got extremely hot and then oven temperature was inconsistent at best, so this new one has been amazing comparably. The oven cooks things so evenly and crisp!
