Surprisingly cool
I have a 14 by 70 foot moblehome. the front bedroom is closed as I don't use it, but the back bedroom and master bath are all the way to the back end. I recently bought a 5000 BTU GE a/c unit (AWAS05BWF3 model. It has been running for about two weeks continuously on max cool, selector firstly on 10, then I turned it down to 8. I was very surprised to find that it cooled my house down to around 72 to 76 degrees in the main living space and down to about 76 to 80 degrees in the far back living space! NO MORE humidity and heavy sweating AND I could stand to wear a T-shirt again indoors. I had been withstanding temps of 94 degrees on these heat-dump-days that have hit our NE Ohio area lately. I had to use a fan to sleep, and was so glad to leave the house all day to go to work. (but waiting to get the first electric bill...).

Life saver for elderly family member

Excellent value
The unit performed exactly as stated. It cooled a large area down quickly and was used for five days in a row until the main central unit was repaired. The instructions for installation were straightforward and is light enough to be carried by one person to be stored until the next emergency. It is fairly quiet, even at the highest airflow setting.

Great addition to my shed
Simple to install, quiet unit, mediocre airflow, seems to be a sturdy unit. Cooling is good, have to use max to cool down room, then turn down for comfort. Haven’t had it long enough to check efficiency.

No electronics that will fail prematurely.
It works like it is supposed to. Cools our bedroom down quickly. It replaced a relatively new A/C unit that had electronic controls --- but the electronic controls stopped working -- even though the A/C unit still ran fine. This new A/C unit has knobs that are sturdy and will hold up for a long time -- no electronics with little lights. No remote control that works only sometimes.
