No central air- this is a miracle!

Wonderful breeze
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a must- have for the summer . Folks, now is your time! This mechanical window air conditioner is so breezy and cool snd I cannot emphasize it enough how wonderful this is to have . It is so incredibly easy to install for your home. The pieces are not difficult to assemble at all. It’s also not that loud if you are concerned about noise levels. It honestly makes a good ambiance/white noise. Some other important things to note is that the window air conditioner comes at a really good price compared to other brands. This is truly a product I recommend all my relatives and friends as well. Please do yourself a favor and at least try it once! You’ll love it!

Ready for the hot summer!

Perfect for summer

Very cold and super easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Actually, it's really easy to install, as someone who never installed one before in my life. Living in SoCal, it can get hot here and there in the summer, but not unbearable. However, there are rays where I wish a bit of a/c could cool us down at night. This size was perfect for our bathroom window and only needed one side panel. Installed it in our bedroom's bathroom and hope it cools our bedroom. We turned it on for an hour and immediately could feel how cold it was.
Ease if installation: very easy, no prior experience needed.
Coldness: very cold and up to 250 sqft. Between our bathroom and bedroom, it's about 250 sqft.
Noise: Not too loud, like a low humming sound. It's definitely better than some of the ones i heard.
It has been running, but we do turn it off and only turn it on at least once a week to make sure it continues to work. 10/10!

Cool in no time!

Cools small rooms quickly and works great for ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Review: I’m really happy with this GE 5,000 BTU window air conditioner. It works very well for a small room and cools the space faster than I expected. I also like the overall appearance — it looks clean, simple, and not bulky in the window. The controls are easy to use, which makes it very convenient for everyday use. Another thing I noticed is that the noise level is pretty reasonable for a mechanical window AC. It’s not silent, but it’s definitely manageable and didn’t bother me. The unit also feels solid and well-made. For a small bedroom, office, or guest room, I think this is a great option if you want something effective and straightforward.

Work so well

Easy Install
Easy DIY installation, especially if you do not need a ladder to reach the window opening and there is a 110VAC outlet within reach of the unit's cord.
There is a strip of foam installation included, meant to be inserted in the interior gap between window sashes. You will likely need to procure additional insulation and tape to fill and seal other air gaps around the unit, especially along the bottom where the unit and side curtain frames create openings for outside air and insects.

Easy installation, good for very small room
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love window air conditioners. I really like to sit in front of it and feel the cold air come out of it when it's extremely hot. This unit is for a very small room. It works well but doesn't cool down the whole room very well. Installation is easy for a standard window. I don't find the air flow too good in this unit but it is better than not having one. It's just been extremely hot therefore testing this air conditioner is very challenging.

It's a nice a/c
Does it's job nicely. No remote control but that's expected. So what noisy but if you live in the city you won't mind. Still waiting to see the latest energy bill.

Problems with brand new air conditioner
I bought this particular air conditioner in August and it has already conked out
It just started making noise and then nothing, the motor appears to turn but no air is coming out
I expected better from General Electric
