It is easy to install and seems to do what it promises regarding filtration. I am not a chemist but the taste of water from my refrigerator filter is better than unfiltered tap water.

Need a filter with a chip on to for the water system to work why not disclose this information

No issues.
So far so good. It was pretty easy to install - after relaxing and slowly finding the exact grooves to match with the arrow. I was concern after reading some of the reviews that stated that they had some issues. Thankfully - I did not. Appreciate you GE if you worked them out! :)

I didn't know from the day I ordered it until the day it arrived WHEN it would arrive.
The installation took less than 5 minutes. That was the best part. So, if you could improve your notification/tracking process it would be nice.
