Nice if you an get it
Waited 5 months while on back order after purchasing the microwave! Overall kit looks good installed matching the GE oven finish. Goes together well following the instructions. One issue I had was top bracket attachment point were off center. I measured everything 3 times so it wasn't me. Had to pull microwave back out and move top bracket over 3/8 to get screw holes to align. Not difficult...but a pain!

looks great, pack you patience.
this frame finishes the microwave in our kitchen. we put it in a cabinet under the counter. there are a lot of parts and screws for the mounting of the frame and microwave. the only down sides i have found is; 1. price (almost as much as the microwave) and 2. when the door latching mechanism breaks on the microwave (as mine did) and you can't open the door, you also can't remove the frame with out severely damaging it.

No Good!
Bought a new 27 inch GE microwave and this GE trim kit that goes with it to replace our old GE microwave that bit the dust. The new one was listed as the replacement model for the old. Removed the old trim kit since it did not fit the new microwave and installed the new trim kit metal base pan, brackets, etc. After installing the front trim, the door would only open about half way without forcing it fully open due to interference between the left lower corner of the door and the front trim left inside corner. The interference is significant since it was marring the surfaces of the door and trim where they made contact. We returned both the microwave and the trim kit due to this problem. When comparing the old front trim to the new, the old trim is tapered on the inside side surface which allows room for the door to swing freely, whereas the new front trim is straight. Another significant problem is the very difficult installation of the four screws that attach the front trim to the metal brackets. They are blind alignments, and the screws are barely long enough to grab the plastic trim. I also noticed there are a lot of other reviews from multiple sites that mention the interference problem, some from several years past, yet GE has not done anything to address it or even acknowledge it. We wanted to stay with GE for the replacement so it matches better our other GE kitchen appliances, but will probably go with another company. I also agree with many of the other reviews on the poor quality and cheap, flimsy front trim, especially for the price. The high cost of this product is way out of line with its poor quality and multiple design problems. I would not recommend this product until GE redesigns it.

Trim kit wrong from
Not correct trim kit
This product did not fit correctly. I need a 30 inch trim trim kit.

It's probably a nice trim kit. But the fact that it takes months to get is not cool. I mean it's the trim kit, not the actual microwave. Why would that take so long?
