GREAT Water heater, GREAT features!
I got a great price on this water heater. Love the 5500w elements because the "big box stores" go with 4000w elements at this price point. Also, this water heater has a brass drain valve instead of cheaper plastic. It is RAISED higher than my previous Bradford White, which made it IMPOSSIBLE to drain regularly with the drip pan (great design feature). My plumber had to CUT the drip pan to drain the BW prior to replacement. Time will tell but for the SAME price as HD/Lowes I got this one with better elements better tank warranty for the same price! Time will tell how long this lasts but 12 year tank warranty is EXCELLENT.

Beautiful Tank & Great Delivery
This tank replaced a 23yo GE predecessor of roughly the same size and model. It's been installed now for about 2 weeks and everything is fantastic! If I remember, I'll come back to edit this review in 5 years with how efficiently it's working.

Great replacement
Seems to be made very well. Had a fairly straight forward install. Also needed to raise temperature up from factory setting and now it's just like what we are used to.

Easy breezy installation
My last GE water heater lasted almost 20 years and i only had to replace the elements a couple of times. This type of quality is hard to find anymore these days. I hope the new one will work just as fine.

I have a water heater?
This thing runs great. I have had no issues with it and noticed that my electricity bill dropped when it was installed. It runs how I expect a water heater to run: silent, no complaining, and reliably.

50 gallon water heater
So far I'm pleased with the product, however it replaced an 80 gallon water heater. But with 2 people using this product is should be sufficient.

Great Value!
I can't comment on longevity of this water heater because we purchased it only about a month ago, but so far so good! Great price, love the size of the short profile.. it allowed us to upgrade from a 40 gallon to a 50 gallon without any changes to the location of the connections. Easy to install -- took less than 2 hours. A little disappointed we couldn't find a drain pan large enough to put under it at our local homestore but it's located in the garage so it's ok. Just wish it was a little more energy efficient, but figure that's part of why the price is so low. Overall a great value! 4-stars!

Just installed
Just installed it. After this I'll take my first shower - just about heated up. I'm sure everything will be fine. I've owned many GE appliances over the years, always worked great, no problems.
