It Keeps My Ammo Reloading Area Dry
I am a target shooter and hobbyist ammunition reloader with aspirations to participate in longrange shooting competitions in retirement.
I purchased this dehumidifier for my reloading workshop to keep humidity levels low as smokeless gunpowder is hydroscopic and readily absorbs moisture.
After running continuously for a few days I set it to 35% and Smart Mode. The humidity stays between 35-50% on my detached temperature and humidity meter.
The only downside, which I expected was that it increases the room temperature requiring my portable AC to run almost continuously.
The onboard pump line drains water out the window plate of the portable AC unit into the shrubs.

good simple product.
this is wonderful simple do the job appliance. This is the third one I have bought. The first one bought 5/13/2017 quit collecting water, but worked until 2024. All trouble shooting did not fix the problem. It seemed the coolant was not there anymore. So I have purchased a new one.

Prefect Fit!
This is a unit that we have in a finished first floor living space of our vacation home. Almost immediately we realized the benefits - improved air / environment, the pump feature is great to we did not have to rely on gravity feed or emptying the reservoir, programable...yeah, no regrets!

This IS the droid I was looking for.
Quiet, powerful, and smart.
This dehumidifier works perfectly. The only attention it needs is occasional filter cleaning.
This unit is far better than the cheap one I bought three years ago, which lasted precisely as long as its warranty and then stopped working.

Good Appliance
The dehumidifier works fine. The instructions however leave a little to be desired. It was unclear about using a hose to run to a drain or not using a hose. It could have explained better that if you are not using a hose to a drain you need to turn that feature off.

Great and reliable Dehumidifier
I had a different dehumidifier in a slightly damp space and it continually built up ice on the foil and I would have to monitor it and turn it off to defrost. The GE Dehumidifier ha worked great and never had any issues.

Works like a Champ
This unit helped us bring our basement’s humidity level from 80% after our old one broke, to a consistent 46% over the course of 2 weeks. Within 2 days it was down to 56% and within 4 days down to 50%.
It was easy to set up and hook a hose up to our sump pump. It runs quietly. This was the right choice for us!

Easy to set up
Just purchased this GE Dehumidifier. It arrived packed well, and has a pump so I dont have to continually empty the bucket. I hope it does the job and lasts a long time. If it doesnt live up to expectations I will re-review the product

Everything I needed in a dehumidifier
This is a fabulous dehumidifier. It runs quietly and really made a difference in our damp, musty basement. The pump feature is really a plus if you don't want to have to empty the bucket. With auto shutoff there isn't any overflow to clean up. With 3 speeds, humidity level you set, and a unit easily moved around and easy to clean you can't go wrong. Easy on the electric bill too. And the price was very reasonable

Top Of All Brands
My new dehumidifier is quiet, removes water very quickly. Won't buy anything else but GE. Had purchased one in late fall last year because my old one was getting tired (which by the way is a Ge 17 years old) had never taken it out of the box to set up, ended up giving it to my mom to use with water issues in her basement. She didn't want to give it back, because it pulled the water out so quickly, so I went and bought a new one. GE is the way to go!!!

A terrific unit
It’s quiet and very efficient. Easy to install and InLOVE the built in pump so the water can just drain into the closest drain. Everything came with it to do this.

We've got a basement that seems to be consistently musty. In the past, we had used dehumidifiers near the floor drain with fans moving air in the rest of the basement. With the GE APYR50LC, we were able to put the dehumidifier outside the back room and pump the water to the drain. It has made a ton of improvement. Will never go back to a "non-pumping" dehumidifier.
