I have owned three other nugget ice maker brands in the past two years. All have failed for various reasons. If you’re wanting good quality ice for your family, this is the machine for you! You will not run out of ice, I promise. We are a family of eight and it keeps up with our demand. It’s very quiet. We opted for the XL Side Tank Model and I only have to fill it every other day, that’s a major upgrade from the previous models I had before. The Opal convenient cleaning solutions guarantees your investment will last. The appearance of the opal is awesome and pairs well with my commercial refrigerator. I was skeptical at first to spend this amount of money on one appliance, however, in hindsight I should have initially and saved a lot three machines ago! Thank You GE for a great machine that my family uses daily.

Making ice around the clock
Came in clutch when our refrigerator died and we had to keep ice replenished in a cooler to keep our items cold. We’ve been making ice around the clock for 3 weeks until our new fridge and this machine has kept up like a champ.

Best nugget ice maker on the planet! This is our 2nd (opal) ice machine. Our 1st machine Lasted 6 yrs! The secret is distilled water and keeping it CLEAN on schedule. I highly recommend the product. Very simple to use. You'll love it. Just wait and see!

Good with ice coffee
I love my nugget ice maker. That plus my coffee machine are my two favorite home gadgets. I bought it a few years ago on Prime Day and it is just the best. It makes something so ordinary (ice) feel special and luxurious, plus it’s really nice having pebble ice on demand without having to go buy it (I’ve bought bags of it at fast food restaurants before!). When friends come over for cocktails it’s nice to be able to offer them pebble ice versus other types of traditional ice for their drinks.

Fantastic workhorse!
Love, love, love this little ice machine! It is a workhorse and produces ice quickly and efficiently. We use this in the breakout room next to our conference center and everyone loves the 'Sonic' type ice it produces. Highly recommend this machine.
