Even the controls are difficult to read. My previous GE Microwave, purchased in 2016, had a lighter interior so you could actually see what you were preparing when you opened the door to check on it. My previous unit had a faulty operating board for about 18 months before I replaced it - When the error messages appeared, I would have to go to the basement to trip the breaker, leave it in the off position for 20 or more minutes and then switch the breaker back on and the micowave would be operational again ... VERY frustrating.

We read several reviews of the new one and some were good and some were not so good. But this was the one that closely matched our needs and the size of the existing opening. Controls are easy to use, capacity is excellent and the power is higher than our old one. The only caveat I would add is if you are replacing an older built-in unit make sure you review the opening size and trim kit availability. The older models used a significantly different trim kit than the new ones.
