It sucks that the drain it’s plastic it shows brass on brochures
It give you the impression of this tank is garbage because it’s made with cheap plastic

Easy install, worked immediately
This replaced a 20-year-old GE tall model that was still OK, but probably too old to be trustworthy. The new one installed easily and worked right away when I fired it up. Has been operating now for a few weeks. What else can I say?

GE 50gal Gas Quality Made Hot Water Tank
I replaced an 20 yr old GE 40gal hot water heater it was still working but I decided to replace it before it went with a 50gal GE. I'm a handy man with skills and replaced it. Simple installation. I went with GE for the quality and that my first one lasted for over 20years. That tells me something about the quality. Hoping my new one will last the same.

Very Efficient HWT
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a family of 4 and our gas bill has remained fairly constant, After installing this GE unit we suddenly saw a bill go down by 30%. This decrease has happened over the past 3 months. Our hot waters usage has not changed so we must credit it to efficiency. 30% may not seem like much, but over the life of the tank it will have paid for itself

Awesome Hot Water Heater

I have two twenty-something daughters that enjoy looong hot showers and they have yet to run this hot water tank out of hot water. The hot water regenerates quickly. It was installed easily by a professional. The controls are conveniently and easy to reach and turning on the pilot light was simple. I highly recommend this hot water heater.
