Hot water and loads of data
This water heater works amazingly well. I love the data that it provides through the Smart HQ app. I can see how much hot water I have left, how long it'll take until it's fully heated, and how much it costs per day in energy costs. It's great and I've got tons of hot water.

Great Features and Easy Installation
Received Product in Great Condition (Well Packed). My plumber even though not familiar with this model easily installed and was impressed like me with the features. Enabled the App on my phone for more control over Wifi. So far, using it in Normal mode, but will be using the Vacation feature soon and increase demand for family visit.

Excellent Start for a New Water Heater
My local contractor got me looking at this heater. I like that it had added features and especially that it had a much better warranty (10 years) than the rest of the same old brands everyone else sells in my area. I very much like the idea of being able to ramp up the temperature and have added capacity via the mixing valve, which should be great when we have company staying over. I also like that there is an end of life notification for the anode - great idea. If you're someone frequently away from home, then you can set it on vacation mode and manually access it via an app to ramp it up or down as needed. It looks nicer than most water heaters I've seen and with the added features seemed a no-brainer.

Great so far!
We replaced our 10 year old 50 gallon water heater after it stopped being able to keep up with out family of 5. We were looking to replace it with a higher capacity, but electric water heaters are no longer available at more than a 55 gallon capacity. So far we have had a great experience with our new GE water heater. We have it set at the middle temperature setting and have not run out of hot water, even during our peak hot water usage times! Time will tell how the unit will hold up, but so far we are thrilled to have found this!

Great tank
So far, so good been installed for a month now. Family of 4 and on high demand nights it works as if it is an 80 Gallon tank. So far we haven't had any issues. Easy to install and set up. Wifi was a little tricky at first, but figured out. Love that you can set schedules for how you want it to perform on certain days and then it defaults back for energy efficiency. Power bill came in little lower also. Very pleased with this purchase.

So far so good!
The product is very simple to use. I haven't used the Wi-Fi Connection just yet. Within 20 minutes of installation, the water is already hot. Just note per the manual that the display goes dark after one minute. Just touch any button for it to come back on. Question, is it okay to always keep the flex capacity water always on (High, XHigh)? I assume it uses more energy but wanted to know.

I haven't delved into the settings yet other than establishing the 120F temperature. This was a part of a laundry room remodel, we moved from gas to electric to avoid having to vent gas from the room.

Great for large families
We love the extra capacity feature of this water heater and how it automatically adjusts based on schedule (using the app). The 50gal water heater can act like an 80gal one. We finally have a good supply of hot water at peak times!

Great Water Heater
I love the features of this water heater! I purchased the 50 gallon size tank. We never run out of hot water. Granted we only have 3 people living at our home, but we can all take showers or baths back to back without waiting for the water to heat back up. Highly recommended!

Works as advertised
It’s very good and clean, I don’t know about electrical usage because there was not enough time since the review request email was sent to me.
So far I have indeed benefit of that extra water volume heat, it did improved my life as I have a large bathtub that the previous 50 gallons unit would not be enough, now it can get enough for a comfortable use of that bathtub.
The painel is super easy to use. Hopefully it won’t get bad overtime.
The app is… bad. Has a lot of bad practices in that app.
It requires login to the app, what means that in the future GE might shutdown their servers and the app won’t work further.
It’s very slow to open and will stay locked (you can’t do anything with any appliance in the app) until it finishes loading all the appliance list.
The app crash in the iOS often or not update the latest state of the appliance.
It doesn’t work with Google Home or Apple HomeKit.
The app is a gimmick, GE doesn’t take it seriously, but the physical painel for the smart version is helpful.

Not rating it’s long term reliability. What I do like is that it was really easy to get connected to. I can set the water heater to vacation mode or use the feature that makes it more like a 75 galling water heater all from my phone.

Excellent water heater for a large home
Excellent water heater for a large home. I purchased this due to the flex capacity. We have a home that has faucets and fixtures a far distance from the water heater. This water heater lets me get hot water to the entire house and increase capacity when I need to. So far I have just had to use it in normal mode. I love the Wi-Fi features in the ability to change the temperature in the mode with my phone. I also installed a scaleRX device on the input side. This water heater replaced and 80 gallon water heater.
