We were gifted this knife set for our wedding in 2014. The knives remained sharp for 10 years. After year 10, the handles began to break. I'd be cutting with a knife and the handle would just snap, then I noticed the rust, and the rust wouldn't come off no matter how much we scrubbed. The big picture here, though, is that the knives lasted for 10 years. At this price, I'm surprised they lasted that long, which is what prompted us to buy another set. It's sleek enough for the countertop as well. I recommend this variety of knives if you are looking for a durable, long lasting set.
