I only want to print applications and letters what kind of special paper do I need?

Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP Sprocket 200 printer only prints on HP Zink paper, 2x3 inches. If you want to print applications and letters we recommend looking at the HP Deskjet, Envy, Envy Photo, Officejet, or Officejet Pro printers.
