Fan
The fan was relatively easy to install. The website said I needed the extension for a down rod longer than 12", so I ordered it. The fan came with around 6' of wire, so I didn't need the extension kit. Hunter promptly issued a refund for the extension kit. The fan came with a 5 watt led bulb which gives off about as much light as a flashlight with nearly dead batteries. I was able to replace that bulb with a higher wattage one.

Solid Construction but Underwhelming
Seems well built, but it still needed balancing even after careful assembly with the goal to minimize unbalanced fan performance. This is the first time I've purchased a fan without pull chains, and I've got to say: not a "fan". I prefer the reliability and low-maintenance hassle free control of pull chains. No batteries or potential for lost / broken remote. The bulb doesn't produce as much light as I would like, and the clear glass globe is a bit plain for my taste--looks better in the image than in person.
