It can be dimmed down to an almost imperceptible level, or even switched off. It's easy to adjust the brightness by simply pressing down on the device or the phone if it's on the charger.

I'm glad that the display can be dimmed and that when my phone is charging, there isn't a bright, glaring light, just a simple charging icon. I can set the alarm as a back-up in case my phone is on silent mode and I don't realize it, so I don't oversleep. Moreover, it takes up very little space, which is great. I'm thrilled with it.

In general, I'm satisfied with the iW18 machine - it permits me to charge my iPhone without wires. I had to discover that it has to be positioned precisely on top of the gadget and it will only charge when the back of the phone is resting on the device. Up-side-down will not charge.
