Nothing bad to say, but…
I love SONOS, and own many of its products. A pair of Era300’s, an ARC, two PLAY 5’s, a pair of ONE’s, and a PLAYBASE. And I’m really glad they’ve gone against this closed garden by adding Bluetooth to this generation of products. I have worried about this in the past, the obsolescence, and support pulled from the older product lines, especially with the price paid.
I will be selling off my ONE’s, and PLAYBASE soon, but on to the review of the ERAS, they sound great, as all my Sonos products does, and as rears for my ARC, incredible. I don’t even go to the movies anymore with my setup. I hear no distortion at high levels of volume, and Dolby Atmos movies, and music ( I use Apple ) sound incredible to my ears.
I have no problems with Sonos requiring so many firmware updates, nor do I dislike their app. It all works well for me, it’s the type of plug n play that I like. If you love it, you already know, if you’re on the fence about it, try a less expensive speaker, and give it a try, ( every retailer has an adequate return policy ) and if you hate the brand, as never personally experiencing it for yourself, or if you have tried it, and just hate it, then don’t buy into it.
