I originally wrote a bad review. After speaking with customer service I must say their callback time was better than expected. Also the customer service representative was quite helpful and resolved the wrong product sent issue immediately. iRobot customer service went above and beyond my expectations. I Highly Recommend iRobot.

First bag lasted for a year
I've had my newest Roomba for 9 months. I have a large upper level with a kitchen, dining room, office and living room. I have two long-haired cats that shed about a full cat per day. I usually run my Roomba once a week. I just recently changed the bag for the first time. I couldn't believe how much hair that bag held. It seems to do a pretty good job of mapping my house. The only issue I am seeing is that it doesn't do very well in my office on thick carpet with a thick carpet pad. Other than that, this is my 4th Roomba and is by far the best. I can't tell by my app which one it is. It has a base where it empties itself and I can manage it with my phone. I recently setup a schedule for it to run on a certain day and that seems to be working great. Due to the large space it has to cover, it has to recharge in the middle of the run. So it can take over three hours to finish the job. If I am home, I will let it partially recharge and then tell it to complete the job. This also works great and can cut down on the time. Once I had had an issue where it stopped working. Apparently it was because the dirt bin door had been bumped and I called tech support who told me to open and shut the bin. That fixed the problem.

These bags are expensive to use - but...
These bags are not cheap and it seems to me not cost effective if you use them like they want you to. However, I found a little life hack where I take a separate shop vac to suck all the stuff out of the bag. So far I've done this only once and I hope to use this method more than 20 times to safe money and waste.

I love this vacuum!
My son gave this to us for Christmas. I was skeptical. We aren't really into gagets. He put it together and set it up to run every other morning at 2 am. We have several short hair dogs that leave lots of hair, especially down the hall. I love it. We don't use it in our bedrooms as there are too many rugs. It usually does fine on the large rug in the living room and I have gotten in the habit of picking up those in the bathroom and shaking them out. Then I put them on the laundry hamper. Works perfectly. BTW, I really like how sturdy the debris bag is. It has lasted 5 months before we needed to replace it. We do perform the other maintinence regularly. It's not hard. My husband is usually charged with cleaning the floors so he likes that he can do it more infrequently.

Best Buy ever with 2 dogs and five cats.
Hazel does a great job on my home with all the pets I have. It has a great memory to pick up where it left off when emptying the bin.

We LOVE our vacuum!
We just installed hardwood floors and with two Labrador retrievers, we have a lot of pet hair! I did a lot of research and decided on the i7+. We feel super lazy watching Alice work around us and empty herself when full. We've just had it a month but so far so good. Highly recommend.

Cleans in an organized fashion. Straight lines basically. Cleans just about as well as my 3 year old Dyson!!! I gave that away, well, because who needs to vacuum!

Best Decision I ever made!
This our first robot vacuum, did a lot of research first, talked to people who had other robot vacuums. It seemed like a lot of money, but now that we have it, it was so worth every penny! We have a dog that sheds and always have teenagers going in and out. It does a great job, and the carpets always have those just vacuumed straight lines! It goes back and empty's the bin into the bag when it needs to. Only having to replace bag about once a month is awesome. It does my entire first floor about 1900 sq ft. It takes about 3 hours, with returning and charging to get the job done. Or I can use the smart maps and have it just do the main areas. It sends me texts when it's done. Best decision ever!!!!! I would highly recommend.

Excellent quality and capacity
The bags for the cleaning base are made of very good quality. The capacity is excellent. Daily, 1000 sq ft cleaning of my house filled the bag in 1 years time. It is important to note that I am single and no pets. I became worried, after a period of time, that the unit wasn't working properly as I was not notified to replace the bag forever. Finally, the day came. 1 year of use. I guess I am not that dirty of a person.

I will buy this product again
To those who complain about buying bags, I am happy to buy bags from this great company and explain why. It gives them an ongoing revenue and we want them to survive. They are the Tesla of robotic vacuum cleaners and have been developing and making them better and better each cycle. We want them to thrive!!

Holds quite a bit of dirt
The dirt disposal bags hold quite a bit of dirt, hair and dust. When a headphone ear bud was vacuumed up, it was easy enough to retrieve it without cutting the bag.

Holds a lot more than you expect!
I love how much these hold! We bought the iroomba with the base because of how much of a hassle it is to sweep up dog hair ALL DAY LONG. Well, this guy now runs every day, and even with copious amounts of dog hair, dirt (usually tracked in by dogs), and dust, these little bags have held up way beyond our expectations. We thought it'd fill up in the first week or two....nope, we only recently put in our second one since early May!

This year I bought myself the perfect Christmas gift: Roomba
This is a great appliance that I truly love. The only negative is the expensive dirt disposal bags. Had I researched more thoroughly, I may not have bought this particular model. I hoping iRobot will address this only negative.

So much better than the alternative
I absolutely love my roombas, but I am specifically addressing the Dirt Disposal Bag. I love the concept of not having to dig the nasty debris. It creates a truly "set it & forget it" experience. I have kids, animals, sand, and so much more. I left it for a little over a month. 7 lbs later it finally came up full. I LOVE TGESE VQGS

Bags are not HEPA
I love the auto emptying dust bin, but due to mold avoidance I would like to see a HEPA filter on the clean base. I also vacuum with my Miele vacuum which uses a true HEPA sealed system and is incredible for mold issues.

Got full bag notice after only 4 cleaning cycles.
I love how it cleans my house but there are so many parts to replace and the bags are expensive. Debris bags should be cleanable and reusable. $6.50 per bag gets me only 4 cleaning cycles; and I have no pets, no kids.

Bags fill up after only a few uses.
There have been several comments from users regarding the small disposable bags. I found the response from iRobot team to be unsatisfactory. We create far too much waste in our society and these bags were a huge disappointment. Surely the creative geniuses at iRobot can find a solution with far less waste. I moved from a Dyson to a Roomba and I am considering a return to my Dyson to keep waste at a minimum.

Bad packaging
For the price I would expect better shipping care. The box arrived all crushed and ripped. I am glad it was nothing fragile inside. The filters were in a poor shape as well.

I ordered and PAID for 3 containers that had 3 bags in them. I only received 1pack of 3. I have sent several emails and get the response they will answer within 48 hours. I haven't received anything else. I want my other 2 containers or a refund. Customer service is terrible

Welcome back replacement filter bags!
I thought we had moved passed the point of disposable filter bags that were invented in the 1920's. It is odd to me that such a modern system doesn't use a dust bin like the vacuum robot itself. I am not sure why the automatic dirt disposal tower does not have an optional reusable bin. Is that an option iRobot?
