[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i received the combo j5 robot vacuum and mop, (pic is from google i forgot to take one and im on a vacation rn) i have always wanted a roomba but didnt wanna pay for one cuz there kinda expensive but after receiving this one they are well worth the money! i have a 2 year old nephew who is constantly making messes and the mop and vacuum make it so easy to clean up after him. the battery life lasts a good bit its not to loud and easy to charge and clean. i’m in love

Great home vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I love this little vacuum. It’s super easy to clean out the dirt holder and swap out the vacuum for the mop attachment. So far the batter life seems to be great. We have a 2k sq ft house and it can vacuum the entire home with one charge. My only complaint is how noisy it can be. You def don’t want to running while watching tv. I did put a method floor solution in the mop and it seemed to work fine. I know they want you to only buy a specific brand but the method brand seemed to be fine!

Great performance ….
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great vacuum! At first I thought it was too high-tech for me, but once I started using it, it’s actually pretty easy, and convenient. The battery life lasts and it cleaned my pet’s fur just as good as my other vacuum. I’m keeping both because each have an excellent performance. The noise while operating it’s reasonable, not completely quiet nor noisy. I recommend this to everyone to give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Game changer

We would have to sweep everyday. Now we just let the room a do its thing. I have it scheduled for different areas of the house every day. We no longer have dog hair everywhere. Well worth it.

Best vacuum cleaner ever had
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iRobot Roomba vacuum and mop is all I needed to keep my house clean dust, hair free, one of my kids and my husband has allergies and the dust makes them feel sick, and keep up cleaning it was exhausting but this robot vacuum has makes my life way easier, even if im not at home I can schedule the time and the area that I want to be clean, it is so easy to set up and very easy to to manage in the app, it maps the house and you choose what area you want it to clean, my kids toys wont be stuck in it since it detects objects to avoid them, the quality of the product is amazing it one of my favorite cleaning products in the house

This Dry/wet combo roomba is amazing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this amazing Roomba for free from Influenster and iRobot in exchange for my honest feedback. This roomba is revolutionary. I owned the first model back in 2002. So I know it’s old design and flaws. This J5 model has no flaws and I have zero complaints about this model. Setup is simplified by using your smartphone. You just scan the QR code that comes on a laminated piece of paper with your Roomba. That QR code will lead you to the IRobot app.
Once you download the app you are ready to map your entire house and complete the set up process. This model is great at identifying and avoid obstacles, it avoids the stairs and doesn’t get stuck under my bed or closets. Setting up the app and connecting it to your robot is very simple. It connects to your WiFi, makes you choose a password then you get to name your iRobot which is so cool! We named ours Johnny 5 for the model number J5. My husband and I love our new addition to the family! For best results, charge your device for two hours. That’s the time it takes to fully charge the iRobot.
Make sure to pickup and move anything that you don’t want to be in the way. But, you can always re map your area when rearranging furniture. There is also a huge set of videos on YouTube made by Roomba that you can watch to help you set up, clean and troubleshoot.
It only took 40 minutes to map my one bedroom apartment which is about 900 square feet. The iRobot was so precise and got every crevice and edge of all my furniture and corners. It goes from the carpet to the tile effortlessly. It also works around every part of my furnitures legs and goes under hard to reach places. It could even go over the highest level carpet and rugs I have in my kitchen and is able to vacuums over my bathmats seamlessly which is extremely helpful.
When installing the drip tray, make sure to position it on a flat surface. It can be on the carpet or tile. Just make sure that it’s on a flat surface. Slide the front of your homebase under the clip of the center of the drip tray to install. Attached the cord and plug it in. Next, place your robot on the charging station by lining up the metal charging contacts. After a few moments, there will be a sound to let you know that it’s awake.
The iRobot J5 comes with two different brush attachments that you can easily switch between. One is the classic vacuum cartridge that picks up and holds the dirt and dust. The second attachment is a mop style that holds water for tile and hardwood.they are both easy to attach and reattach. It comes with an extra floor brush and an extra filter for the classic cartridge. Every part of this product is made with quality and sturdy material. The black color goes with my furniture and looks very sleek. It has a glowing light up circle ring to indicate its battery level. But in the setting you can also turn the lights off which is great at night when charging while sleeping. This product was very well thought out.
The Roomba is not too loud at all and we live upstairs and run it at all hours. It works better than a standard stand up vacuum. I went over my apartment with my regular vacuum, then I ran this roomba. When it was finished cleaning I emptied the dirt trey and it had so much dust and dirt that my stand up vacuum didn’t pickup.
This is great to use in between vacuuming and has saved me so much time and physical labor. Not only are you able to activate it with your smartphone but you can also set Siri Shortcuts. So I get home from work and just tell my phone to start cleaning my apartment. You can also set a daily schedule to have it start cleaning at any time of day. The convenience of this product is a huge advantage and relief. This is the most efficient and effective product I’ve ever seen and used. I’m overwhelmed with joy at how well this iRobot works.

Would really love if the manual was more detailed. The only thing includes inincluded in the manual were warnings and how to get started. There was no instruction on how to replace parts, remove dust bin etc.

Life changing with young kids and pets!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older roomba model and prior to that, a eufy, and this model is by far the best. It is quiet when it’s running, and the mapping on the app is extremely accurate. I have it set to run at the end of every day to pick up food debris etc around the open plan living area, and it makes a huge difference. I have yet to use the mop feature, but that’s simply down to lack of time to set it up. Which brings me to why I knocked a star off - it is not readily clear how to attach the mop or how to use it when you unbox the roomba and go through the set up instructions. I found this frustrating.
Overall, I’m so pleased with this device and highly recommend!

Perfect Cleaning Combo

My entire life, I have always owned a push & and pulled vacuum, so this was a complete game changer for me and my home. This iRobot j5 has two awesome functional ways to clean your home. Included is the iRobot Roomba Combo j5 vacuum. Roomba combo (mop & vaccum) bin, mopping pad, drip tray, home base charging station, extra side bristle, charging cord, and extra high efficiency filter I love that this is designed for both wet and dry floor cleaning. A four stage cleaning system connects with Alexa or Google Assistant. Weight 7.5 lbs. It can be controlled by the app to create a no mop/vaccum zone.
This vaccum is made with really good material because it all feels sturdy and capable of a good job. Made in a black color that blends very well with anything in a home. There's a ring on top that glows and turns white when fully charged. It glows in a circle while charging to show how much is charged, turns blue when censoring items to go around, and is off when it's sleep on home base.
Setting up the app is really easy with the step by step included instructions. All you have to do is scan the code provided on the instructions. You can name your roomba! And my son loves that part so he named it 'Roomie'. You set the roomba to map you home, and it will go around the entire home and build a map. Make sure to remove things on the floor that you dont want it to pick up. This map will appear or the app, and you can label and program the map to your liking. Setting the roomba to clean what room you want is perfect. You can also set the roomba to how many times to vaccum the rooms/home. The roomba needs light to function properly due to the censor. I love the feature of what days and times I want it to clean on its own!! The app also lets you know how much battery life it has, when to change the bristles and cartridge. Talk about being convenient for your needs. You'll also get a notification when it's full and needs to he charged.
I don't track a lot of trash on my floors, I do have a dog, and he can leave some hair around. 'Roomie' can definitely pick up some hair and dirt off of my floors. And it can be a bit much. With the bristles that can reach out, this picks up way more than I imagined. With accurate reach to get every corner, that's impossible to get with any other vaccum. The mopping is also a fun feature. Seeing he clean streaks afterward is amazing, and cleaning the mop towel is quick. I noticed It catches dirt I couldn't get before. Going from woodfloor to carpet is a breeze. Don't think for a second that your roomba will stop and turn around. It glides over carpet, rugs, or woodfloor very easily. Be sure if you have tall furniture, it will go under to reach those tough spots. It literally wants to map out everything. Emptying the bin is pretty easy, too. There's an eject button on the front with a trash bin on it. Just pust and take out the small bin, flip the top on the back end, and dump bin. Simply lineup bin to roomba and close. The same thing is done with the mop bin. The finishing look is great, carpet looks and smells clean. I can't express how happy I am with this iRobot Roomba Combo j5! I'm very thankful for this convenient piece of heaven. highly recommend

Works decent

So far I have used the vacuum feature only and have not tested out the mop. I will update my rating once I get to it.
As far as this vacuum goes, it is seemingly smarter than my Eufy robot vacuum in a sense that it knows how to avoid obstacles better and it also knows how to get out of areas when it is stuck.
The only issue I have so far with this vacuum is that when it did the mapping, it literally skipped out a whole section of my house.
I also noticed that it has a tendency to go to the same spots over and over again. I literally watched it make 3 circles around my chair.. but I guess it is good in a way that it cleans better?
It also goes into the base with no issues at all. The Eufy robot I had constantly had problems.
The app itself is pretty neat such that there is a shop for you to buy replacement parts. You can also schedule when you want it to run. I wish there was a button that can be pressed to re-map the area - I couldn’t find it.
Additionally, my eufy had different vacuum settings to choose from (such as low, high, max, etc) but this vacuum doesn’t.
The app also doesn’t have an option for you to control the robot vacuum whereas my eufy did.
In terms of sound, it is quite loud when it works but it is not overly unbearable
Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the vacuum but wish the app had more features.
