Great sound out of a small package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pretty impressed with the sound right off the bat since the Bar 300 is smaller than other sound bars I've owned before. Bass is pretty solid for not having a subwoofer and dialogue audio was clear when watching movies. Setup / calibration is super straightforward, even without downloading the app. Speaking of which, this is my third JBL app (headphones, portable speakers, and now sound bar). It would be really nice if JBL just consolidated all of these into a single one-stop app for all devices.
Other than good sound quality and volume, it's cool that brackets for wall mounting are included, haven't experienced that before. Packaging was also mostly plastic free, which I appreciated. Really happy overall with the sound bar.

A great soundbar!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Bar 300 is a compact soundbar that packs a mighty punch. From the factory, JBL provides everything you need to get started. With the Bar 300, you get wall mount brackets, an HDMI cord, a power cord, and a remote with batteries. I wanted to mount my Bar 300 below my wall mounted TV, so I ordered additional universal mounting brackets and got to work. The bracket mounts on the bottom of the Bar 300 are very shallow; I had to be careful when attaching the brackets to not over tighten the bolts.
After getting the Bar 300 fixed to my TV mount, the rest of the setup was a cinch. I used a Digital Optical cable to connect my Bar 300 to my PC. My PC is able to output Dolby Digital at 192kHz to the Bar 300 and it sounds fantastic. On the Bar 300, I adjusted the bass to the max, level 5, and didn't adjust any other equalizer settings. I also allowed the soundbar to automatically calibrate before listening to any music. Afterwards, I listened to my favorite demo song, Comfortably Numb and was blown away. I was surprised at the bass the Bar 300 provides without a subwoofer. It also clearly presented the high notes with great clarity. Watching Twitch streams allows the Dialogue Enhancement tech to really shine. Broadcasters now come through over the gameplay and music without being muffled.
Overall the Bar 300 is a great compact sound bar that brings JBL's high quality sound to the living room.

Bars have come along way- easy setup
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple set up- great sound. Getting the system out of the box was easy and pairing was simple. Found is great. It is a great add to any tv system. I replaced wired sound system for my tv in our family room- sound is rich as the traditional wired systems. This has deep output that us comparable to more expensive brands.
Recommended to any home systems andsmall office tv setups. Blends in we'll with my furniture- doesn't look out of place.

Enhance your listening experience with JBL Bar 300

I love the calibration tool which makes it easier to use depending on the size of room that your device is in. The Bass is pretty solid as well.

Pleasantly Impressed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had not yet used a soundbar as a stand-alone system so was a little skeptical of getting the promised results. The Bar 300 set up did not disappoint! It more then delivered the sound features I was expecting, including a clean low end bass. This was accomplished despite the absence of a dedicated subwoofer. Most of my apprehension centered around the desire for good "separation" involving the right and left channels. I didn't envision this being possible given the length of the soundbar. I was dramatically wrong, and was beyond pleased with the superior sound delivered by this excellent product. Simply a must buy for anyone who wants simplicity in audio delivered in a compact and attractive package.

The review will be broken into likes, dislikes and perceived sound quality and a conclusion
Starting with the likes, Once out of the shipping box gently surprised there was a carry handle for transport. Packaging as expected.
Out of the box the weight of the unit said quality. The finish and the seams were even.
Placed in front of my 50” TV visually acceptable. Would work very well with a 40” TV.
Plug in the power cable, the optical cable, download the app on my phone and go. Nothing unusual, just normal including the running of my music streaming service via blue-tooth. Hey a three band equalizer in the app.
The LED panel under the material on the right side is to me a wonderful upgrade. Looking I know the volume level, the status, etc. The included HDMI cable looked to be decent. And the mounting brackets black painted steel. And a mounting guide!
Now for the dislikes. First I would like to see a 3.5mm audio input. Would be helpful with older TV’s.
Within the phone app I wish there was a volume control. Not really needed, but…
Sound evaluation, I LIKE IT!!!!!
TV for me is primarily the spoken word. Maybe a musical now and again or a music video here and there. The spoken word is now so much more intelligible. Which makes it so much easier to follow along be it a movie, a news cast, documentary, or whatever. And at volumes louder than I care to listen.
I should also point out where I sit in relationship to the BAR 300 very little change in audio quality.
The musicals or music video are not by any means flat toned. Vocals are predominate and the actual music is kind of reduced. This is a give to get vocals easily understood. Gives anything with music a different yet pleasing texture.
Overall a pleasant addition to my setup and glad it is there and being used everyday.

Sounds wonderful and easy to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how I can turn on and control the sound bar 300 through my phone. I have not had any connectivity issues. Music sounds great from my living room through the kitchen. The highs and mids are clear. The bass is there if you need some. Where I live currently I want some bass but not too much so I keep it at 2 or 3 out of 5. When watching a movie, the 3D sound is great if turned up enough. Connecting to the TV and DVD player was pretty easy with the quickstart guide. I haven't had any voice lag between the TV and the soundbar. But I noticed there is a setting to adjust it if needed.

Wow. Just.... WOW
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this sound bar to replace my older competitor sound bar I had for years that had a bulky subwoofer box that I had to find room for. This JBL 300 is just awesome. The bass you can get out of this bar is amazing. It is great for those at-home movie experiences.
There is one feature that I just loved, even though I didn't have to use it. It comes with these really nice, thick, heavy metal brackets so you can hang the bar from the wall instead of just having it on a shelf or a mantle. (mine sits on the mantle) The part I thought was an excellent touch was the piece of paper that had the correct spacing for where to place the brackets so you didn't have to measure or anything for perfect placement. As a woman who does most of this on my own, this was a NICE feature! I know it's just a little thing to most, but it's those little things that add up to put things over the top.
Another feature that stood out to me was I didn't have to keep switching around my remote controls. I can still use my DirectTv remote for the volume when watching regular TV. It seems to know how to level out the sound bar and the TV automatically. Of course, you can always make adjustments with the Sound Bar remote, but it does a great job for regular TV just on its own.
Overall, I am in love with this new bar. Would definitely recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is high quality soundbar.nice size to fit your TV size.adaptors to mount to wall is a nice bonus.the sound for it's size is awesome.wouldnt have expected so much bass for this type of sound bar.more than be enough for my living room in condo.hooking up TV easy even though you have to have television with HDMI or digital outputs.make sure your TV has them.the sound is very good and lifelike.great treble as always and good voice reproduction.its comes with a calibration function that I have only seen on a couple of good home amplifier receivers.it reads your room and adjusts the sound perfectly.easy to use and set up.thumbs up

Great spatial sound out of a very tidy package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the car world you would call this soundbar a "sleeper", very unassuming to the first glance, but performance off the charts. Right out of the box, this was an easy setup, I like to use the HDMI pass-thru method with a streaming stick. After the quick calibration routine, my first sampling was a Dolby Atmos demo pack that I had for my Home Theater setup. Wow! I was amazed, the immersive surround sound from this soundbar is so good. I was wondering what the bass would be without a subwoofer, there is a nice port on the back of the bar and it produces a full and rich sound. The phone app is really good and well thought out, the Eq settings are easy and a remote, just in case you can't find the other one. All in, this is going into our main TV viewing room and my previous soundbar will be reassigned.

Great sound even in a noisy environment!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size of the sound bar. It provides good sound quality without taking too much space or needing an extensive set up. I put the sound bar in a room dedicated to be a bike gym, and while the room is noisy because the bike trainers and the fan are already very loud, the sound bar was a great addition because it could still cut through all of that.
The set up was super easy. Just two cables and the calibration also didn’t take long at all.
One thing I didn’t get is the “heart” button in the remote. I don’t know what that does. Another thing that could be better would be a more centralized app for all my JBL products. I had to download a new app for the sound bar and already have a different one for headphones.

Amazing sound for a good price. Super easy setup.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great unit for the price. Low profile, easy as heck to set up, I think I had it set up and going in less that five minutes. The nice thing about newer TV's with the ARC or eARC function on the HDMI, you don't have to turn on and off and use another remote to control the sound. I plugged my PS3 into the bar, ran the bar to the TV and done. If you have a spare HDMI on the TV already you don't have to worry about it.
As for the sound, this guy packs a punch! It's a pretty unassuming unit in size, but you instantly feel the sound quality jump compared to the tv's speakers. Deeper bass, richer sound in general. The bass has settings 1-5 and 1 is plenty for TV but can get ramped up if you want. It has nice bluetooth connectivity so you can play music from your phone if you want too. Get the JBL One app and you can even change the equalizer settings and everything.

Outstanding Sound Bar - Amazing Performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is so much to like about this product it's hard to know where to begin. From the simplistic, sleek design, to the unbelievable quality and ease of use, the Bar 300 is worth every penny.
Having not used a dedicated sound bar previously, I didn't have a great idea of how much the user experience could be enhanced from such a simple product. The Bar 300 uses very straightforward connections and even comes with mounting supplies (including a drill guide which was extremely helpful!)
After mounting directly under the TV, I stepped back and tried a variety of movies and shows, all of which were brought to life in a new way thanks to the sound quality. Everyday watching was immediately enhanced, being able to clearly pick up dialogue and distinguish from background noises and sound effects. The noticeable difference was most evident after watching several different sports programs. You could hear crowd noise during football games but it was not drowned out from commentators. During golf and tennis, it was easy to hear when players were near a microphone without having to increase the volume by 25%.
Personally, I also enjoyed the Bar 300 having an integrated subwoofer, as the clean look of the bar under the TV was not complicated by having to place an external device to deliver bass.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to improve the audience experience of watching TV. Whether it be live sports, movies or shows, the quality and value at this price point would be difficult to beat.

Addicted to tv again since i got this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted something to add sound to my living room tv.This soundbar is on the smaller side.It super easy to set up right out the box.The remote has a bass button and you could see the volume lcd light on bar itself.So you know exactly what volume its at.The volume will fill a average living room with plenty to spare.I have it around 15-17 volume with bass @2 for most tv shows.For movies 20-22 volume and bass @3.The max is 32 volume and bass up to 5.At max never distorted but was too loud for me.Now the most important thing how does it sound?The highs and mids perfect.The bass is great without the shaking of a subwoofer.If you like the trembling and shaking you might want to go with something with a sub.Apartment and condo owners this would perfect for you.It comes with bracket to mount on wall and hdmi cable.So just open box and in less than 5 min your connected.Has Bluetooth so you can pair your phone and use it to listen to music when not watching tv.Tv is so much better with this good sounding speaker.

Sleek Design, Heavy Bass

Design: Top notch build quality which boasts sleek and modern design. Very simple and effective remote control. The multibeam technology gives you an immersive 3D sound experience.
Audio Performance
This soundbar delivers immersive and crystal-clear audio. The deep bass and clear highs will make you feel like you're right in the middle of the action.
Cons:
1. All the 5 speakers are front or side facing. It would have hit out of the park if it had upward facing drivers for a more immersive sound.
2. Audio could have been little more crisp

Connecting to The JBL Bar 300 is a breeze. It offers a wide range of connectivity options, making it easy to integrate into your existing setup. I used to connect with HDMI ARC, and Bluetooth. The wireless subwoofer adds an extra dimension to the audio experience.

Beautiful Device
Recently bought this Sound Bar to have better audio for my TV, when watching movies & such. I end up using it everyday for that reason or to have personal dance parties in my house! One of the best investments I've made to change the energy in my house.

Easy to set up, great sound
I purchased the BAR 300 and I am really happy with it. I need a sub to balance the bass but the bar is a great start. Has nice surround sound and it is top quality. JBL has been around for a very long time and make great sounding speakers.

Total upgrade over built in TV speakers

Having experienced JBL's Bar500, it definitely does not have the hit of a subwoofer included setup. But the sound is so full and detailed. Setup was extremely easy. Audio in and power cord. Done.

Delivers a punch while being functional

It’s nice and loud but the bass also packs a punch and definitely delivers throughout the whole house. The feature that set this product apart is the fact that when you set it up there’s an option to use the built in Dolby Atmos that configures the room to find out the most effective way to deliver the sound thru the house.

Compact size, BIG sound!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son got a new TV in his room and needed a small soundbar to get better audio in his room. This is where the JBL Bar 300 comes into play! It's a small soundbar with a big sound. My son loves gaming and listening to music so the Bar 300 definitely helped, a lot! The unboxing experience was unexpected, the sound bar came inside its own velvet-like bag(maybe feels like cotton) and all the accessories were well packed in a smaller box the accessories it came with was a control, power cable, 2 batteries, HDMI cable, wall mounts and hardware, and product info/setup guide/warranty. I was impressed by this presentation. Setup was easy and it took a few tries to connect the Bar 300 to WiFi but nothing that stressed me out. The first thing I did was download the JBL One app to use it as a remote control, my son is 5 and he's very good at loosing remotes so I hid the one that came with the Bar 300 and used my phone instead. Calibrating the equipment for his room was simple, just hit the calibration option in the App and the soundbar took care of the rest. When it comes to sound, it was louder than expected and the internal sub definitely helps a bit during action scenes and punchy music. He has a smaller room about 12' X 12' and Dolby Atmos content sounds good since audio is constantly being bounced off across the room. I like the way the Bar 300 sounds and so does my son since it is waaaay better that the tv speakers. The only thing is that my son has a 4K streaming box, the one with bitten fruit, and a gaming system. The TV only has 1 HDMI input so we are using it for the streaming device since it has 4K pass through and HDMI is needed for Dolby Atmos content. The gaming system is being connected to the TV and through and optical cable to get the audio to the Bar 300. If you are looking for s small soundbar for a bedroom then the Bar 300 is what you are looking for.

Great sound for a stand alone bar
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] of the box, this speaker sounds crystal clear, making it perfect for dialogue/ movies. However, it did seem like it was missing some heavy bass. The calibration feature on the sound bar is great! It helped produce better sound depth and gave it the bass that seemed to be missing, so I highly recommend utilizing those features! Considering that it is a single stand alone bar without a separate subwoofer, I think the overall sound quality is better than expected. A small annoyance to me is that the source button ON the bar will turn it on but I cannot figure out how to turn it off without using the remote. Lastly, the thing I love most about this sound bar (and JBL in general) is that they include all the hardware and very detailed instructions/ guides for mounting the bar on a wall! They even include a template to help measure where to place the hardware!

Nicely designed soundbar with good bass
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL bar 300 is an all in one soundbar with the subwoofer integrated within the soundbar. It is a pretty good looking soundbar and should look good in any setup. It does come with a stylish remote that provides you with all the options that you would need to operate the soundbar. You can use the JBL One App for virtual remote access where the room calibration can be done from the app which is a cool feature. It does support Apple Airplay which is cool feature to play music directly from your phone. The base is really well in both quality and quantity. It has Dolby Atmos metadata fed through it and provides a virtual Dolby Atmos experience. Overall, it is a pretty good soundbar which is tad bit expensive but JBL can be appreciated well enough for integrating all the cool features into a single unit
