Attractive Design, Awesome Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So many cool things about this speaker! I love the design and get tons of compliments on it from guests and friends. The build materials all appear to be pretty solid quality - sturdy handle, nice feeling faux-leather body, and responsive dials for adjusting volume, bass, and tremble. The sound performance and battery life are also outstanding. I typically have it plugged in in my kitchen/dining area which it easily fills with high-quality sound, but it's also already become my go-to for park days (cue more compliments from strangers), and I haven't had to worry about losing charge halfway through. It's a great size for portability while still packing a punch even outdoors.
Lastly, shout-out to JBL for making their packaging plastic-free. I always appreciate this and wish more consumer goods were moving in this direction faster.
Overall super happy with the Authentics 300.

I purchased my JBL Authentics 300 last month, it fits perfectly in my MCM style home and the sound quality is incredible and clear, even when it’s at high volume. It also has a sleek design and looks beautiful sitting on my kitchen counter. Definitely worth the investment!

Premium Portable Audio System
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compact sleek style the Authentics provides far exceeded what was expected with the addition of a bottom subwoofer. The bass reproduction was powerful and strong. Most songs put sub to test without fail. The lyrics produced were crisp. The bass and treble can be adjusted on the system with the dials or through the JBL One application. These tools allow you to create an editible and joyful experience and adapatable environment. All around sounds from many genres of music were tried, and sound produced was fascinating. Now, the sleek look provides an elegant multimedia system. Great looking colors and style can enhance a rooms look. The ability to access the system through the application helps you relax and enjoy while being mobile. Features allowing it to connect to Wi-Fi, streaming music services, and smart connects help this item to be a need, not a want. Battery is averged to about 7 hours without charge, but that's due to all applications and connections running now. Minimize those uses, and battery life will increase.

Nice subtle speaker with high bass output
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the appeal of this speaker compared to other speakers in this market. Let me just say that the ability to fine tune the treble and bass balance makes it ideal for really turning up the volume without upsetting your neighbors. However with that being said this speaker is loud and has a lot of bass to it. You can definitely feel the bass. Then pair that with the built in microphone function makes it ideal for a kitchen or bathroom speaker.

Great sound and design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Large sound, fairly balanced since you can tune it with the knobs. Sound stage is great, one of its strengths. Do think the detail retrieval is its weakest point. Build quality is superb. Great, good looking design, and the actual parts are all precisely put together, made of very high quality components. The hinges feel solid, the buttons and knobs feel amazing.

This speaker is completely immersed in sound and intelligence. This speaker has a great build and allows for usage of programs like Pandora and Spotify to work with its system. As a Bluetooth speaker, the connection is strong and stable. The bass is JBL patented and the the treble blends well. Overall, I would recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice stylish speaker looks great on a shelf!. Sounds is better than I expected and is nicely tuned. Sounds better than other JBL products. It has a more sophisticated sound compared to their multi-use speakers such as the xtreme, boombox, etc. The price is a little steep in my opinion but everything is nowadays. I really like the handle it makes me want to take it between rooms and its perfect size to fill the space. Gets very loud and the bass keeps up haven’t heard any distortion yet. Easy adjustability and love that it can connect to WiFi so I can still do other things on my phone while playing music from it!

Smooth sound and aesthetically pleasing design

Connectivity was easy to the speaker. I was able to connect my iPhone to Bluetooth within seconds.
The unit has the feature of voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google. The voice control feature can be easily turned on and off with a toggle switch on the back of the unit.
The controls on the top of the unit are easy to use, well labeled. There is a total of 3 round, turn controls that allow you to adjust volume, treble, and bass. Three small buttons are for Bluetooth, Power, and Moment. The Moment feature allows you to access music playlists and settings personalized using the JBL One app.
The unit is aesthetically pleasing in design. I’m happy with how well it will go with my mid century modern decor of my home. The front is a durable black cloth in a grid pattern covering the speaker. The sides of the unit are wrapped in a faux leather rubber material that’s black in color. A light gold trims out the unit. The handle is easy to fold up and down.
The AC power outlet is easy access in the rear of the unit.
This unit despite it’s retro appeal and small size puts out good sound and modern features for home speakers on the market. I’m pleased with the product and it’s style.

Elegate Bluetooth Speaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a Gentleman's speaker! The gold and black color way allows this to both blend into the background and stand out at the same time! I recently took this speaker fully charged to my parents house to show off this fancy new speaker. They commented on the rich output of sound as well as the looks. This speaker is so "Aesthetically Pleasing" according to my college aged daughter! My wife has claimed ownership of this speaker which spends a lot of time in her craft room, but it is not uncommon to see this speaker throughout the house. By simply removing the power cord the speaker can move from room to room with the use of the convenient carrying handle. The large volume knob allows for easy volume adjustments!

This speaker is awesome
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doesn’t skip a beat. The sound coming from this JBL speaker is big, like something you would hear from a way bigger speaker. It could even make some of your older speakers sound inferior. The wifi function works with IOS and from my iphone, I can easily select it from a group of available speakers to play. I like the Alexa function too. Just all sorts of options with this speaker. Not to mention its gorgeous, I could display it in my nicest room. The JBL app gives you more options like equalizer and software updates. Nothing bad to report here, all good. Thumbs up JBL ! 👍🏻

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In a nutshell, this is the BEST speaker that I’ve EVER heard!
This four speaker box is of amazing quality and craftsmanship. The sound is extremely rich and full that makes you feel like you’re right there at the LIVE performance. The fit and finish with its gold trim and even leather appointed handle puts it at the top shelf of premium JBL speakers. Even the front grill has a gentle left-to-right curvature to it.
This speaker has a corresponding app and works with Google, including Chromecast as well as Alexa. We love listening to it in the background on game night. It will definitely fill multiple rooms with rich sounding tunes.
My favorite feature about this speaker is the downward firing bass that can be controlled by the illuminated bass dial on the top. This speaker can and will shake the table. Treble works the same way.
Battery life has been awesome. You can plug it in as well. While portable, at almost 11 lbs. you’ll want to consider where you take it.
This truly is a premium speaker from JBL and I would DEFINITELY recommend it.

Style With Solid Performance

With it's retro styling and superior sound quality, it delivers the "real deal" to those serious about their music. Despite the compact size, it produces clean, crisp highs and the bass woofer gives your music a smooth " bottom". Uniquely designed with a beyond easy user interface, it makes it simple to enjoy all the perks it has to offer. The bluetooth functionality works particularly well when syncing up with your device. The Authentic 300 produces high quality sound that you can scarcely believe from a smaller, portable source. Beauty and superior performance...what's not to like?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL has been my favorite for a few years now and they never disappoint!! Opening the box, the presentation to the speaker speaks to the speaker itself. Its carefully wrapped in a soft fabric - who does that?!!? You get to the speaker and you can see immed why its packaged as it is! Very very nice looking - all the way around. The finish is beautiful, clean and classy. Considering i expected much smaller, the add of the carrying handle is a score and doesn't hurt the look of the speaker at all. This is my only gripe - at about 10.5 lbs, it's on the heavy side for a bluetooth/portable speaker. At the same time, it's more than worth it!! The sound is insane!! Straight out of the box! Really no adjustment needed. I was shocked by how clean it sounds at high volumes. Clean and crisp with nice deep base without the nasty distortion affecting the base. I live in a small apartment and it has my neighbors listening to my music😅 i took it to a friends house and it sounds better there as it commands space for its excellent sounding high volumes. I thought the 200 was an awesome speaker... the 300 is just that much better. You can't go wrong with JBL so no shocker- they killed it with this one!! At a fair price at that!

Fantastic retro-looking, battery-powered speaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Authentics 300 is a fantastic medium-sized speaker, perfect for a bedroom, office, rec room, or other similar spaces, although it has the power to fill a living room as well if that’s where you intend to use it. In addition it has a battery and a handle, so you can take it outside and use it to entertain in your outdoor picnics, parties, and so on. After a couple weeks of owning and testing it, here are my first impressions:
THE GOOD:
- Looks great. Very cool retro look, which adds to the decor in my bedroom and complements my more modern furniture. The faux-leather looks and feels pretty real, and the faded gold accents add a nice touch.
- Sounds great. Nothing new here, the same fantastic JBL sound quality that we’re used to. Clean and clear sound both at low and high volume, and it packs a huge bass for a relatively little guy.
- Battery! Handle! Great to carry the speaker around with you and liven up any outdoor occasion. Pool, picnic, BBQ...
- Very easy to set up. This is where JBL has really made progress from older speakers. I’ve owned an L16 (which I love) for years, but whenever I need to set up a new wifi network, or change anything, it is always a mess to get it to connect to the network again. With the Authentics 200, setup was incredibly easy. Plug it, turn it on, open the JBL One app, and it will find the speaker and guide you through the steps to connect it to the wifi network and set up the voice assistants.
- Feature packed. Supports Alexa, Google Assistant, AirPlay, Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, and a few others which I don’t use but I’m sure other people do. In terms of connectivity, they really have covered all the bases.
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT:
- This is just my personal opinion, not something wrong with the speaker per se. I think JBL should’ve made the Authentics 200 the portable speaker in the lineup (ie. It should be the one that has a battery, as opposed to or in addition to the 300). Given it’s the smaller of the 3 speakers, in my opinion it should’ve been the one designed to be portable, as it is the lighter one and easier to carry. The 300 can be a touch large to carry around at times.
Overall, very happy with the new addition!

Love at first sound

The built in battery last for almost a full workday (8 hours). The sound never disappoints because it calibrates to the room in power up, I’ve used it with AirPlay as well as the JBL One app. I don’t use voice assistants, but it has that capability too. First Impressions: Heavy Hitter
Unboxing the Authentics 300 is like opening a treasure chest. The experience leaves you feeling like you got something that’s high end. The speaker has a satisfying weight that tells you it means business. The vintage vibes with the leather-like exterior makes it look classy without looking old. It also sports a carrying handle which clues you in on the portable features of the speaker.
Sound That Rocks:
Now, let's talk about the real star – the sound. The Authentics 300 throws a party that's bigger than its size suggests. The bass hits deep without getting too boomy with very clear minds and highs. This speaker brings a mix that's both immersive and finely tuned, especially when paired with another speaker from the Authentics line-up. I paired mine with the smaller sibling, the Authentics 200 and the results were superb. I got enough sound out of the two speakers to throw a holiday party without feeling like I was missing out on my bigger sound system. Also got lots of comments from friends on the fact that the speakers produce room filling sound, without being intrusive or eye sores in the room.
Smart Moves:
But it's not just about loud tunes – the Authentics 300 is also a smarty. With Wi-Fi capabilities, you can stream from Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, or wherever your jams live. This lineup of speakers also plays nice with your existing Google or Amazon speakers – the setup took me less than 10 minutes, and the speaker was part of my Google Home setup. For me, this feature alone is a selling point over other speakers in the market right now.
Portable!!!
If all that wasn’t enough, this speaker sports a carrying handle and it can run on its internal battery for several hours. You can take it with you to the back yard, the pool, weekend picnic… you name it. It made my GenX nostalgia spark when I first picked it up. Reminded me of the boom box I had when I was 12. I haven’t run the battery down to zero, but it has run for at least 3 hours on battery without batting an eye.
One small gripe:
You know when you’re expecting that bass drop on your favorite song? Imagine if you didn’t hear it… hopefully that will explain what I’m about to say…
My only complaint (if you could call it that), is that you have to have the volume above around 15-20% for the bass to be really noticeable. The sound is still clear and balanced, but you just don’t get the same impact from the bass frequencies. Almost like the speaker is holding back. I realize this might be nitpicky, since the sound isn’t bad at all, but I thought it would be worth noting. I was able to get around that by placing the speaker on a bookshelf, which seems to project the audio a bit better when it is at lower levels.
The Final Word?
The JBL Authentics 300 is totally worth it. Vintage design, killer sound, and smart features make it stand out. I've put it everywhere – bookshelf, kitchen counter, desk – it fits right in. Whether you're a music buff, design lover, or tech geek, the Authentics 300 deserves a spot in your house.

A fantastic all-around WiFi speaker!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very well-rounded speaker that is perfect for everyday use around the house. The seamless integration with Google Assistant and Alexa (both are used in our household) make it ideal for casual listening. Bluetooth works flawlessly with no connection issues, but connecting via Wifi is the real ticket, and where this speaker really shines. For the most part, I leave the speaker on our corner table in the living room. It really looks sharp and compliments the decor. Sometimes I unplug it and move it around while I'm doing chores, and its portability is another appealing feature. As far as sound quality goes, this speaker sounds excellent, with crisp highs and thumping bass. The volume gets plenty loud. The equalizer works great and is another very welcome feature. The EQ can be used through the JBL app or directly on the physical speaker. If I had to nitpick, I'd say perhaps it would be nice to take the speaker outside in the elements without fear of damage, but it's such a superb inside speaker that it doesn't bother me that it's not suited for rugged outdoor use. The material and build of the speaker is very high quality and again, looks great with the rest of the living room. I can't recommend this speaker enough!

Old school look but sounds great !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I’m writing about my JBL authentics 300 portable Bluetooth speaker. Love how it looks with a very classic look but also high end quality feel. If you pick it up and look underneath it , you’re greeted with a cool little JBL sub woofer which looks pretty cool. Love how the front screen on it looks and also feels like quality. The sound quality is great and you won’t have any issue hearing all the highs and lows . I usually jam out with this in the living room playing new music that’s coming out or even watching YouTube videos using my laptop.

What amazing sound!

Conversation piece with amazing sound!

The retro look along with high quality sound make it a perfect addition to any living space. I love the addition of dials on top for volume, bass, and treble. The 300 fills my entire downstairs with great sounding music on a daily basis.
The handle helps to make it a portable speaker but I don't think this one is moving. I have other Bluetooth speakers with much higher durability that can handle an accidental fall.

A Real Party Starter!

This thing is perfect for an outdoor party where you really need the music to project. I've been using it in a larger garage, and I barely have to turn it up. I havre some other bluetooth speakers that I like, but if you need legitimate volume, this is your speaker.
The build quality is also extremely nice, it feels very solid, and the handle is super sturdy and great for hanging on a random hook when playing music.
Overall, I can't recommend this speaker enough, if you are looking for something louder than your typical bluetooth speaker that will project a good distance, and deliver huge bass, this is perfect!

This speaker is great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound quality is great. The knobs that adjust bass and treble are very handy when listening to different genres of music. They make the listening experience better. The battery life is also great and lasts the whole time I need it to play music. Great product overall.
