Very portable and loud for its size.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really enjoyed putting this little powerhouse through everything I can throw at it. Fired up the JBL Portable app to get it all set up. Was easy to get it all synced up and ready to play. Loving the new light effects also on this one. Speaker felt strong and durable to the touch. Also good to know it’s IP68 proof also! For those beach or pool party’s. Sound was nice and clear with some of my go to playlists I tried. Also didn’t distort at max volume also. But if the presets are not to your liking. You can create a custom preset in the app also. Love that it fits in my pocket or my running backpack also. Very portable and the battery just kept on going. Didn’t even charge it after a week of using it. Really couldn’t find any flaws. It’s well put together and gets nice and loud. I wish I had another one to try the stereo pairing. Can’t wait till people have these in their hands. Y’all are gonna love it!

Small size, Big Sound!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s honestly incredible how much audio you get out of these tiny little Bluetooth speakers anymore. I’ve been using this in my office while I work, in the golf cart while we’re golfing and even outside while grilling. The battery life is great it just keeps going and I don’t even have it in the “eco” setting. Build quality is great which is just what I’ve come to expect from JBL. They take pride in their quality and even the packaging is nice and Apple like. It feels solid, has a strap so you can clip it onto your golf bag or a backpack. It just has a great balanced full sound that gets loud and although not a crazy amount of bass it just sounds good. JBL has done a nice job with the app for it too. Clean interface and full EQ customization as well as lighting effects can be adjusted too. Setup is easy, just pair up and go. You don’t need the app but it’s there if you want extra settings. I would love to grab another and pair them together. If I had to get picky on one thing I just wish the lighting was RGB. I’m happy it has the lighting but I’ve always liked my Sony Speakers for their RGB lighting. All things considered though, if you’re in the market for a small little speaker with big sound and a small footprint to toss in your golf bag or bring camping and not break the bank, this is a solid performer. JBL never seems to disappoint.

Very compact but still delivers great sound for th
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little speaker , sound improvement over the go 4 is noticeable. More clear highs and more punchy bass. I really like how they added the LED strobe lights to it. I also like how the JBL is outlined just stands out more and I enjoy the look of it. Weight is about the same as the go 4 with it just being a little more bigger but not by much at all. Still is very portable and you can pretty much fit it anywhere you want to stick it.

JBL Signature sound in a condensed tiny unit Large
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this little speaker with kighty sound. Messed with the equalizer quite a bit and was amused and impressed at how punchy and clear it can get. Love hearing my music on the go and this is light enough to carry around and bring sound where I want to like on my bike rides. I think people would like this as it pairs with their older JBL models with auracast with this new AirTouch technology and the design is sleek.

Great sound, No Setup effort and fun light effect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once I got JBL Go 5 bluetooth speaker and was impressed by how easy it was to use right out of the box - no setup required. It connected instantly via bluetooth, and the sound quality was surprisingly powerful for such a compact device.
The design is elegant, making it easy to carry anywhere. One of my favorite feature is synchronized light effects that move with the music, adding a fun and impressive touch.
Overall, I really liked it and definitely would make a great gift for people of all ages.

Very Nice Speaker
This speaker is very good! Sound is very good and speaker is durable and portable. Just like all of my other JBL speakers, it starts right up and already starts trying to connect to my phone. The battery is very nice and the lights make the speaker look way cooler than it already is! I definitely recommend buying this

Awesome portable speaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome little speaker! We have an older version of the JBL Go which is still going strong, but this latest version has a couple of really great upgrades. It’s waterproof and dust proof. We hang it in the shower, we’ve taken it to the beach, the attached loop makes it super portable. It’s extremely rugged, there’s a rubberized feel to the exterior which feels very solid. Super easy to pair via Bluetooth, it’ll remember the last connection and connect quickly. And of course the sound is what you’d expect from JBL, really packs a punch for a tiny speaker, it can fill a whole room with sound. The app is easy to use. You have to use the app to control the equalizer and to turn off the lights. You can also connect multiple speakers to create surround sound.
My only only gripe about the product is that it is yet another JBL app. At this point I have an app for my earbuds, an app for my soundbar and now another app for this portable speaker. The apps all work great and all look and work the same. So I just wish it could all just be one app.

Louder, Better, Still Super Portable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Go 5 is a small speaker that really impressed me. I have used the previous version, the Go 4, and the Go 5 is slightly bigger and a bit heavier, but honestly it's not enough to notice or care when carrying it around. What you do notice is the sound, it's noticeably louder, I would say around 30% louder than the last version, which is a big upgrade for something this small.
Sound quality is great for the size. Highs and mids are clear and crisp, and while the bass is limited by how small the speaker is, it's still there. If you place it near a corner or a wall, the bass actually improves quite a bit, which is nice.
Design wise, it looks really good. The new front LED lights give it a cool look, especially in darker settings, although I do wish they changed colors instead of just being white. Controls are simple, you've got power, bluetooth, and the usual JBL Auracast multi-speaker pairing button, plus USB-C port for charging.
The battery life is pretty good, I've been getting about 6 to 8 hours depending on volume. There's a Playtime boost option in the app that really extends the battery life past 8 hours. I did notice it cuts down on the bass when it's on, but it's a cool feature to have if you just need more juice.
Talking about the JBL app, it's a nice addition, you can adjust EQ, update the speakers firmware, tweak the light settings to different modes, and connect to other speakers for stereo sound or PartyTogether mode.
Another big plus is that it's IP68 rated, so it's fully dust proof and waterproof. You don't really have to worry about using it outdoors, around the water, or in rough conditions, it can handle it.
Overall, I think the Go 5 is definitely worth getting or upgrading, if you have any of the previous versions, mainly because of the louder sound without compromising clarity.
JBL did a great job again, it's a well-built, great sounding, super portable speaker that also looks really cool.

Small Speaker with Great Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a compact speaker with great sound! It’s crazy how something this small can put out legit sound. It gets louder than you’d expect and keeps the quality even as you turn the volume all the way up. I’ve mostly been using it in my home gym or just walking around the house and it’s been great.
It’s super convenient to connect to and perfect for working out or moving around. It’s small enough that I can carry it around the house in my pocket or in my hand. It gives you much better quality and louder sound than your phone speakers and other compact speakers I’ve used without taking any effort to bring it around the house.
What I’m most excited about is using it this summer! This speaker is easy to bring around so I’m excited to bring it all over - whether that’s the beach, pool, backyard BBQs, you name it.
Overall this speaker is amazing! The sound quality is great, it gets plenty loud, and all while being small and extremely portable.

Amazing sound for a carry on speaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL Go 5, I own many JBL speakers. Including the large ones, this JBL Go 5 is a small easy to carry.
Sound is very good, outside and inside, connected easily to my Pixel phone and JBL android app to manage the speaker is easy to set up.
For the one who likes lights in the speaker, u can set different lights from the app...
Bluetooth connection and you can also connect another same speaker as a group (I did not try it)
Charging it is a USB-C cable same as Android pixel phone, speaker came with no cable.
This is not a Google smart speaker as there is no wifi so you cannot ask it to play.
Overall, amazing JBL sound for pocket size speaker

Have 2, live them both!
I have purchased 2 JBL machines lately. I would say my purple Go is going to be a strong favorite for going on Ranger rides on trails, but my 1st one, the Charge 5 (I think, although my daughter has the charge 6) is by far a better speaker! It’s red and much better sound. The Go almost sounds a bit muted, even when I play it pretty loud. So sound wise the charge 5 is best, but convenience and size wise, the Go is coat pocket perfect!!

This JBL portable speaker is loud, portable, durab
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve loved using the JBl Go 5, it gets pretty loud for its portable size, very easy to carry and control. I’ve taken it to picnics as well as hikes, it’s fairly easy to setup and navigate. The best feature for me would be the fact that you can link multiple JBL Auracast enabled speakers together which makes the whole experience fun and immersive. Cheers to yet another great JBL product!
