Description
This Range Ductless Downdraft Vent Kit, Stainless Steel can be used when venting your range when the outside is either not possible or not desirable in the kitchen. This kit contains a filter housing that attaches to the blower under the unit; the filter cleans the air before it re-enters the home. Check to see if your cooktop's model number is compatible. Size: 29.8"L x 0.7"W x 6.3"H. Installing this accessory will require basic hand tools and novice repair experience. Remember to turn off the appropriate circuit breaker before installing this part. Helpful Tip: For optimum performance of your vent, change the filter every 6 months or when a loss of airflow can be detected.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blows hot air on me! I hate this unit. I wish I had known before we installed it, which was very difficult. The way it's designed the exhaust comes out under the cabinenet. The hot air from cooking blows directly on your feet and lower legs when you are standing in front of the cooktop. In the winter if it's freezing in the house it might be nice to have hot air blowing on you, but in the summer it's horrible. What were they thinking when they designed this? It's also very noisy.
