Doesn’t age well
This came with our double oven gas range, which we re-purchased two years after we got the first one (when we rebuilt our house after a fire, not due to any defects). The coating on this griddle is thin and difficult to clean, and it never looks clean once the coating starts to wear off. It’s a bummer because it cooked pancakes wonderfully, but I can’t stand having it make my stove look dirty. My picture is from literally the first time I ever actually cooked with it.

Poor quality
This came with the stove in my new house (Dec 2020) however I will not be replacing in kind since the quality of this is not very good. It is made of aluminum which is lighter than other products but the coating will not last very long even if the care directions are followed. Recommend only hand washing once or twice a month with a sponge an non-abrasive sponge. Outside of that you should just wipe with a wet paper towel and even then it will only last a couple of months before the bare aluminum will start to show.

Worst griddle. (Great stove)

Terrible griddle
Terrible griddle. I’ve only used it 3 times and the non stick surface is wearing off. I use only nylon spatulas and wet paper towel for light cleaning. And always apply cooking oil prior to use. I should have read all the one star reviews.

Not good quality
I thought we had done something wrong because all the surface looked worn even though it’s not very old. I wish I had read these reviews. I’m hoping kitchen aid replaces this inferior quality grill with a better product and sends it to its customers. I live this double stove configuration . I have had three over the last 30 years . I don’t recall having issues with the griddle . It might have been Maytag . Anyway I hope this gets improved.

Love the stove - but griddle needs improvement
Love this stove but the griddle is extremely disappointing. Unsure why it states that it is non stick, we rarely can cook on it without a huge cleanup. Because it’s so hot we have to wait for it to cool before cleaning the mess so it sits out. We’ve never used anything abrasive on it and only use silicone tools so unsure why it hasn’t lasted very long. Based off these collective reviews I feel somewhat better in knowing we’re not alone.

Poor coating quality
We purchased our gas stove because we liked the griddle. This is the first time we have had a griddle. The coating started coming off even after following the cleaning instruction.

Coating coming off
Bought this range with this griddle (it was stainless with a coating). Worked great but having issues with the coating coming off the griddle. ABT where I bought it says it is a "cosmetic issue" and not under warranty. I cant believe they or Kitchenaid doesn't stand behind this. I guess we are supposed to ingest this stuff?!?!

Terrible Quality
Purchased this range less than 3 years ago to match my kitchenaid fridge. Very happy with how it cooks but not how the parts hold up for the price. The griddle looks awful after proper use and cleaning and the knob are all peeling. Is there a better replacement part or warranty on these peices.

Good cooktop with a lousy griddle
This griddle came with our cooktop (Model #KCGS950ESS) the non-stick coating is virutally useless. We have been very careful with cleaning and storing the griddle in between uses and it still is still showing signs of bare aluminum and will simply not release food.
Is there a better version of this accessory? We have had this cooktop for LESS than a year!

Griddle
So disappointed. They don’t make things to last even 3 months never mind years anymore. The finish on this griddle didn’t hold up to silicone utensils and sponge washing with proper scraper. Looks lousy on a brand new range.
