Exceptional design
Love the microwave drawer. Completed my entire commercial kitchen line quite well. Seamless and built in cabinet integration ticks away quite nicely. Easy to understand controls. Buttons are extremely sensitive though.

I am not a user of microwaves but my fiancé is a huge fan of them. When remodeling my kitchen in July this was our compromise. We added an island and it was the perfect solution for us both! He loves everything about the function of it and I love that I don’t have to see it above my stove or sitting on my counters. Win! Win!

Ultimately Convenient
We've had our microwave for over 2 years and continue to enjoy it. Having it under the counter frees up the counter space for other items outside of appliances. That makes this microwave the ultimate inconvenience. I will say a few features that I wish it had were a night light for doing preparation in the evenings without having to turn on the lights. I also wish it had a tilting control panel. That would be great for tall people who then would not have to bend over to operate the microwave. With those two features in place this would be the absolute best microwave available. All in all, we still love it.

Favorite Appliance
Purchased this for my new home three years ago. I still love as much today as I did when we moved in. I'm short so I always felt in harm's way reaching over my oven to use the microwave .. I always envisioned hot food spilling on me. Now it's up and out. Love all the features and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I bought this in black stainless and it nearly matches my refrigerator. I am over the moon impressed with this microwave oven. Steams vegetables perfectly, reheats everything on the reheat setting to a perfect temperature. The convection oven is absolutely the best.

Really love my Under-Counter Microwave

We installed in a convenient place in the island and are so happy with it. I don't know if it is us or the microwave but I hardy have to clean this as opposed to one with a turning plate. Only downside is having to bend to look a the food, which we knew when purchasing. It has been installed for a couple of months now and we have had no issues or concerns. KitchenAid products have been good to us.

Read the manual

This is such a great appliance - but we have run into an issue when it comes to the microwave developing a mind of its own. We went back to the salesman and had to make some inquiries. It turns out the oven has a humidity sensor system to help determine when items are fully cooked. We had no clue and needed further edification regarding our new microwave. I guess this is more of a sales issue than a product issue. Don't hesitate to ask all the questions you "think" you need, and then ask more.

Save counter and above counter cabinet space

It was so bad in terms of a fan for the stove and also being smaller than a standard microwave of lower power was a bad microwave as well. We had buy a standalone countertop microwave when the old one broke but recently with a kitchen remodel found this KitchenAid microwave drawer. It really is great being able to free up the counter space and have a full size, full power microwave oven that sits attractively in the cabinet below the countertop.
