[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both the oven and microwave are excellently built. The user interface is easy to use and the microwave’s preset algorithms work amazing well. We replaced a 20 year old black KitchenAid built in combination oven with this stainless steel unit. The big outage in my opinion with KitchenAid/Whirlpool is their bad customer service. Every time I contact them I’m left scratching my head wondering how they can be that large a company and have such lousy customer service.

Love, love, love this appliance!!!

Especially the grill feature in the bottom oven and the much quicker pre-heat time compared to my older model. Also , the convection microwave crisps up a pizza like nobody’s business. The pleasant ring tones are also nice along with the clean lines that looks perfect in my updated kitchen.

The menus and descriptions are not always intuitive and setting (programming) the oven prior to actually cooking in it has required time and attempts.

Great tech Features
After waiting 4 months for being back ordered, we finally got our oven. This oven having great tech features lacks “ease of use design”. Specifically the touch panel buttons are hard to identify unless you have a well lit kitchen. The font used by the color touchscreen are small. This oven replaced model KOCE500ESS. Wife was able to operate previous oven without a step stool. The screen harder to read she had to use a step stool. It would be helpful if the Smart Oven iPhone app would operate the microwave. Suggestion, have the oven installed where the touch panel is at eye height.

Disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought and paid for this unit on Feb. 9, 2024, and it was delivered and installed by a Teevax recommended installer on Feb. 20, 2024. Unfortunately, the first time we tried to use it, the message window gave an error message that the unit could not be used and a service call must be placed. We did call, James from Teevax came on Feb. 22 and diagnosed that the unit has a bad controller board. The oven and microwave doors were also misaligned. Teevax then requested that the unit be returned and a new combination be supplied. We were notified on Mar. 12 that a new unit will be delivered and installed on Mar. 19, 2024. So unfortunately I cannot rate the new oven, over a month after our purchase.

Terrible oven do not buy

It is no longer working. I have been told that it needs 3 new boards and they have no idea when the boards will be available

SCREEN STOPPED WORKING

I contacted the warranty and they simply cancelled my ticket because their warranty would not cover the damage from a power outage. Glitchy, poor customer support

I’ve had 2 separate issues and neither has been resolved weeks after speaking with support and multiple emails. Twice I was told they would pass my issues along to their engineers and I would get a call back. I never got a call back either time. Frustrated I decided to videotape one problem and take screenshots of another. I figured this would supply support with video proof of what was happening and possibly then get a solution or at least a call back. Instead I got an email saying I should call support for further support. Argh! I had already been through multiple trouble shooting previously with 2 support people on the phone . Someone was supposed to call me with answers! So the issues are, the first one annoying but minor I guess. The always says the microwave is running even though it isn’t . I can’t use any features in regards to the microwave on the app because says it’s already running. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling app, disconnected/reconnected to wifi. Powered down via breaker oven combo which fixed it until I cooked something in the microwave, now once again it says it’s running even though it isn’t . We did notice that when the microwave completes the time the oven combo looses wifi connection for about 5 seconds. The support person and I tested this by heating water in the microwave, she could see on her end also that only after heating was done the unit lost wifi briefly each time . Possibly this is why the app always says the microwave portion is always running . I assume when microwave is done it looses wifi before letting app know cycle is complete, well that’s my theory . The second problem is a bigger one. Sometimes the keypad just quits responding , and no I didn’t lock it out(there’s a feature to lock keypad). The only fix is to run down to the basement and hit the breaker to power down the unit. This unit is too expensive to have these issues. Support has all the info needed to come up with a solution via the video and previous support sessions on the phone, yet I’m supposed to keep calling them?

Nothing but problems
We bought this smart oven combo for our kitchen remodel. With in a week the problems started. Microwave likes to turn itself on and run in 30 sec segments…. Repeating until you lock it. The oven light comes on also by itself and tries to run the cleaning cycle. It takes weeks/months to get service people to come look at it then they have to order parts….. another two months or longer to get parts in and get tech to put in new circuit boards. The same problem happen for the third time 30 min after tech did repair!!
It is Feb 2023…. Unit installed April 2022….. not happy…
