Amazing!
I bought this for our kitchen remodel in July. In all honesty, I got it for the design aspect that I was going for and I am glad I did. My contractor said it was the best range hood he has ever installed. The quality is impeccable and the exhaust fan is powerful enough to suck up a small child…just kidding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this range hood for a recent kitchen remodel. I liked that this model looked more modern than others from KitchenAid because the bottom part is flat and not domed. I got the recirculating kit because it would have been too expensive to vent up to the roof, but so far it's working much better than the fan that was under my old microwave that was over the range. The lights are bright white in front, and pressing the button a second time turns on a softer light in the back that seems like a night light. The highest fan setting is a little loud, but the lowest setting is quiet and works well enough for everything I've cooked so far.

All it did was suck in and blow back into the room through a wimpy metal mesh filter. This hood vents outside (yes through the roof as I demanded from my contractor) Actually clears the kitchen of odors. Haven't tried to clear smoke yet... Haven't burned anything on my new Stove.
