The CookShield Finish protects the cooktop against stains that may occur due to high-temperature cooking and makes it easy to wipe clean without harsh chemicals.

So Disappointed!
I remodeled my kitchen and intentionally got all Kitchenaid appliances because that is what I previously had and I loved them. This cooktop has many flaws. It's a waste having 5 burners because you could never use all of them. They are too close together. If I put a skillet on a front burner it overhangs on the temperature dials and also overhangs on the back burner making that burner unuseable. It is also very hard to read the lettering on the flame temperature as well as the tiny, gray dots that indicate which burner is being ignited. I cook all the time and I'm so disappointed with my choice of stovetops. Do not buy this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased and installed it less than a month ago. So far it works great my only complaint is the finish of the stainless steel. It's a little rough when you run your fingers on it - it does not feel smooth. I purchased special wipes for cleaning stainless steel and the wipe material left quite a bid of residue on the surface because of the finish. I went over it again with a microfiber cloth and it cleaned up fine.

Very good looking and efficient

The black enamel is very attractive but I was constantly cleaning and polishing it and yet it still looked dirty. The burners were inefficient in that it took a very long time for pans to heat up and water to boil. I do not have those issues with my new 5 burner KitchenAid cooktop. I am extremely happy. In the long run, I know it is a very, very good value. The burner gave my kitchen and upscale look.

Lights and heats quickly, and looks beautiful. The grates are nice and heavy. If you’re using large pots it’s difficult to use all 5 burners at once, but that’s to be expected when you’re using a 30’ cooktop. Overall, I love it!
