Surprising capacity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit apprehensive about switching to a counter depth fridge but wanted the extra room that it provided in our kitchen between the island and fridge. I also wanted a fridge that had the ice maker in the freezer. This one checked all the boxes and it's been surprising to me how much more room it provides compared to the previous fridge that had the ice maker on the door. One thing to note is that I don't use the water dispenser since we have an R/O faucet in our kitchen so I actually installed a valve to keep the interior water dispenser from ever being accidentally pushed.

Solid performer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit because it was one of the few that would fit in the space that my refrigerator sits in. I have been satisfied with the quality of the door construction as well as how fresh it keeps the food. Although the freezer is on the small side, I am able to fit items with no issues. I use ice quite a bit, and the ice maker has had not issues to date. I would recommend this unit to those looking for a quality counter-depth refrigerator.

Simple and effective

Kitchen Aid 20 cubic ft Deep French Door Refrigera
Perfect unit in every way, completely happy with the unit. Roomy, everything works and will stay Kitchen Aid. I have a Kitchen Aid stove, microwave and dishwasher in my kitchen

Fit space, available quickly, good brand
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a week ago when my 17 year old Kitchenaid stopped working suddenly. I have had appliances (stove, dishwasher, fridge) repaired over the years and the repair people always said stick with US brands like Kitchenaid because they are easy to get parts and repair. The delivery driver also commented that Kitchenaid are work horses so hopefully I get 17 or more years out of this one too.

Excellent product for us.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great refrigerator. The ice maker basket is too small we think. Sometimes adjacent frozen items slip over into the basket and interfere with the rod control arm. (Some operator error involved!)

Looks great and works great

we found out about after the fact is the top shelf does not
have true space for a half gallon of milk unless you lower the shelf then you lose that shelf space. The freezer is smaller than our old side by side. You cannot open the drawers without opening both doors.

Love KitchenAid!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the kitchen aid brand! Refrigerator is spacious, easy to operate, and keeps food fresh. I love the sturdy front handles as well. Only complaint in the freezer drawer is wobbly and I have to be careful when closing. The ice bucket also didn’t include a scooper like my last kitchen aid refrigerator, but I love the ice cubes. I’ve noticed some condensation on the inside of the doors, could be due to the recent heat. Overall great fridge for a great price!

Great looking frig, no issues so far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our 3rd Kitchenaid counter-depth frig and it performs and looks great. Note that the new handle style is slightly different than past models, but overall looks quite similar and matches well with our other kitchenaid appliances (dishwasher, built-in microwave and oven). We've had it now for 9 months with no issues at all, but this is replacing an older model that didn't last 5 years, so we will see. Overall, i love the look of the frig and it does everything you'd expect from a frig

Perfect for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this refrigerator offers filtered water and makes ice as well. It is small on the inside so if you have a big family this might not be a good fit for you. It's only my husband and I, so it fits our needs. In order to access the filter button for filtered water you do need to open both doors to close properly. It also tends to collect moisture inside which makes certain areas wet but there is a humidity control button on the inside that helps with this. Also, when it makes ice there is a loud swooshing sound that last for a few seconds then it stops. These are the issues I noticed with it. Overall, it's still a good refrigerator and I like the design of the water filter being on the inside. I would advise to take advantage of the insurance it offers when you register your fridge. It's cost about a venti drink at Starbucks, but monthly. Hope this helps.

Disappointed in some features!

Warm tap water. Also having to use the Moisture Control Button to prevent moisture from forming and dripping down onto the top of the freezer door and the rubber gasket is not cost effective. The overall quality does not match the same refrigerator I previously owned for nine years,

Great storage and access, but defect day one.

I am disappointed that the "Options" selector does not work (come out of the box this way - and now need to arrange for repair). The water dispenser is very slow and ice storage is a bit smaller than I would like. BUT, other than that, we love all the drawers, lots of storage space, and ease of access to items (like the sliding drawers in the freezer - although a little stiff to open and close).

Water Dispenser Design Flaw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very disappointed with the internal water dispenser on this refrigerator. It has continued to drip, and over time the water has caused visible rust and corrosion on the metal support below the dispenser and above the freezer.
This refrigerator is only about five years old, so I would not expect this kind of deterioration. We tried to manage the dripping and protect the area as carefully as possible, but eventually the repeated water exposure caused the damage.
We have also spent a great deal of time trying to identify the correct replacement part for the corroded metal piece. Even with the model number and parts diagrams, the part has been extremely difficult to identify. Adding to the frustration, getting help identifying the correct replacement part has been very difficult, even after following Whirlpool’s support and parts resources.
The refrigerator still cools properly, but a dripping water dispenser should not cause this kind of rust and corrosion inside an appliance this age. I expected better durability from Whirlpool.
Otherwise, this has been a great refrigerator and we have been very happy with its cooling, capacity and overall performance. Unfortunately, the dripping internal water dispenser has created a significant problem that should not happen in a refrigerator this age.

Poorly made

Shelves. and drawers. very cheap plastic. very upset There are no great features. with this product. I thought I was buying A good quality refrigerator. I would not recommend this. Refrigerator to anybody. every time you close a door everything falls off I 've purchased. KitchenAid before and never had a problem like this They have really cheapened the product I am out looking for a new refrigerator to replace this one. And the freezer handle fell off the first day we got it My wife very upset with this refrigerator.

High price low quality from
Big Price, cheaply built
