So much room

Lots of potential, but meh
Long-time Kitchenaid customers, and our whole house is outfitted with their products. We bought this fridge to replace our old Kitchenaid built-in. The old model was basically a nearly identical fridge, just older. The measurements and specs match the old one perfectly, so we thought it would be a simple swap.
Overall the swap went well, but I am a bit shocked at the bottom design of the fridge. I called Kitchenaid to confirm it was installed correctly and sent pics, went through three departments, including the built-in specialist department, and they all confirmed yes.
The design lacks a grate or an eye-pleasing piece at the bottom, and leaves exposed metal in plain view. I'm not sure why Kitchenaid didn't just extend the rubber by 1 inch on each side to hide this metal, making the rubber bottom flush with the fridge's width and look clean and nice. Or make it so the stainless trim kit that goes with the fridge covers this up. The old fridge has a nice stainless steel grate at the bottom; this one has a cheesy rubber cover similar to a door bottom. Now I apparently need to get a handyman or someone to come up with a solution to make this look good.
9/10's of the reason you buy a built-in fridge is for the look and how it fits with your cabinets. This was a major letdown for us. We could have gone with a much cheaper model if we wanted it to look bad.
