Frameless Design

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heat is controlled and fast, cleanup a breeze [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooktop performs great. Heat is easy to control and compares to gas, boils water in nothing flat. Then it cleans up so easy. I had to convince my wife to try this over a gas stovetop and now she would never trade back. Great product, I hope it lasts us for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE it so far! I did find an online video that was really helpful (on the KitchenAid site) that explained how to use it and what the different features are. Much easier than reading a manual. It's really easy to keep clean, and the fact that it heats so fast is great. It's responsiveness to change in settings is great too. It's efficient and precise cooking makes my meal prep a pleasure... and now I am a "consistent" cook!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design and efficient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very clean design and works flawlessly. I prefer induction vs gas or electric heat due to fast and even cooking. This is my 2nd induction cooktop and would not go back to gas or electric heat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased with purchase! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved using a gas cooktop, but for our new home I selected the 36 inch induction cooktop. I wanted the ease of clean up, no excessive heat when cooking and improved efficiency with electric instead of propane. I LOVE this induction cooktop. It heats up quickly, no excessive heat given off in the kitchen and is extremely consistant. It is the first time ever that low simmer is really a low simmer. I scramble eggs on 4 and they are exactly the same every time. We planned a ahead of time which pans we prefer and found great, afforadable options. There is a bit of a learning curve at first, but well worth it. Ease of clean up alone would cause me to select induction again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive, water boils in half the time! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We upgraded to an induction cooktop after our 12 year old Viking accidentally shattered (our fault) The speed at which this cooks is amazing! Water boils in half the time and we are so impressed. Buying some new pans is the only negative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Induction for the win! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this induction cooktop so much! It has changed the way we cook. I was a chef for many years, and thought I could never give up my gas cooktop. After using induction, I would never go back to a gas burner for several reasons. Most importantly, you can boil a pot of water in 2 minutes, and this cooktop is sooooo easy to clean! You spray and wipe, and it is clean. No burners to remove, just wipe and go. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Induction cooking is the only way to cook [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my induction cooktop this fall as we remodeled our kitchen. It will literally boil water in 2 minutes. We live everything about this cooktop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my new cooktop especially the apple of heating up. Boils water unbelievably fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Cooktop! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this cooktop about 6 months ago and I wanted to leave a review because we are loving it! I was a chef for 10 years, and had concerns about switching away from gas to induction. It has been an amazingly easy transition, and we are very happy with this cooktop. With the power boil feature, you can boil a pot of water in 1-2 minutes! I saw other reviews saying it takes too long to boil water, and I can definitely say that has not been our experience. The only thing that I would comment on is that some of the buttons are confusing but I think we could solve this by reading the instructions again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cooktop ever [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop is phenomenal. I absolutely love it. The best cooking experience ever. The assist features work great for fry, boil, simmer and keep warm. I will never go back to gas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally KitchenAid! This will complete our total kitchen-aid kitchen. 5- drawer refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, convection wall oven, and induction cooktop. Nothing else will do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The one thing I like about this cooktop is it easy We bought this cooktop about six to eight months ago and used it daily and we found it very very successful in cooking as long as we use products that are designed for its purpose of cooking

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Large induction stovetop [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first induction stovestop after previously cooking with gas. It look some time to get used to how fast it heats up, but we really it. The lock control is great for ensuring that our cats don’t accidentally turn it on. We got the 36 in. stovetop so there’s plenty of room for cooking with multiple pots and pans. Our complaint is that the buttons don’t respond immediately when pressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Induction is Fantastic [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the induction speed of heating. This is our first induction stovetop. Sometimes we have trouble adjusting the heat to the proper level - probably a user issue. Glad to have to burner shut off when nothing is contacting it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cooktop! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooktop is very responsive. Amazing how fast it can boil water. No burned on food like regular cooktop. Only complaint is it beeps if you wipe cooktop while it is on or off even when locked. Have had to hit breaker to get it to stop. Otherwise would have given it a five.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great, but bring back paper owner’s manual [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop works well. Heats up and cools down quickly And it looks good and is easy to clean. I’ve found the preset for cooking rice (the only one I’ve tried ) doesn’t work very well. It overcooked the rice. I’ve just had to play with manual settings to get this right. I’d give this 5 stars except it (and the oven I bought at the same time) doesn’t come with a paper owner’s manual. I hate this is that the wave of the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the responsiveness to the heat control and the number of heating units. Also easy to clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good control over intensity of heat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We don't use all the additional controls on the cooktop, but the ones we use satisfy our cooking needs. One problem: It's hard, in some light, to see the control labels. We wish they were illuminated. Also, cleaning the cooktop often results in inadvertently turning on a burner. We like the high speed setting for boiling water, as well as the low settings for long, slow simmering. Overall, very nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Getting used to Induction cooking [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I accidently dropped a jar on my old electric cooktop and it cracked. I spent some time deciding if I should replace it with an electric or an induction cooktop. I decided to go with induction. I purchased this cooktop and had it installed about 3 weeks ago. i was asked by the installer to check if the cutout space was appropriate for the cooktop. This was a bit of a challenge since my old cooktop was still in place but with the help of a friend and comparing the old cooktop installation guide with the new cooktop it appeared to be adequate and thankfully the new cooktop fit perfectly. I am still get somewhat used to using induction cooking versus an electric cooktop. The enclosed instructions are not real clear as to what 5,6 7 mean when you turn on the burner. If any liquid is spilled on the cooktop whether you have a burner on or not, a pinging alarm goes off until the spill is wiped off at the area dries off. A good safety feature but not sure I read about that in the manual. Cooking wise, it appears to cook quickly. I have used it for canning and hot water baths and it workes fine. I also have used it for some frying and also cooking stews. I was aware that the cookware needed to be compatible. I checked all my cookware with a magnet. The lock feature is a nice addition as I can clean the stove top with a cleanser without the alarm going off for moisture. I haven't tried all the features yet-like simmer. It may take awhile for me to get used to all of the features but so far I am satisfied with my purchase

Rated 4 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great, ability to control temperature is most important. So far so good.
Date published: 2025-08-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love our modern induction cooktop [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heats up really fast and looks beautiful. It never looks completely clean. It shows everything.
Date published: 2024-12-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still getting used to it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first induction cooktop, so I’m still getting the hang of it. I’ve always cooked on a traditional gas cooktop and induction works very differently, so there’s definitely been a bit of a learning curve with the settings and figuring out the right heat levels. One thing that has been a little confusing is that the magnet/induction element doesn’t seem to be directly centered on the cooking area, which takes some getting used to when positioning your cookware.
Date published: 2026-09-01
Rated 3 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was not my first Induction cooktop. All control buttons are slow to respond. When I clean or wipe over the cooktop controls, it turns off and sometimes locks the control for approximately 1 min. On the good side I like the way it cooks and rapidly heats to maximum hot. I don't have any problem with using all metal pans.
Date published: 2026-09-01
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seamless look [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose an induction cooktop because I hate cleaning the grills and grates of a gas cooktop. The induction heats up quickly and I love it’s seamless and clean look in my kitchen. The one thing I’m struggling with on this model is the buttons are not always very responsive. Sometimes I am pushing the power on button multiple times before the burner will finally turn on.
Date published: 2026-09-01
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as user friendly as our original cook top. Purchased as a replacement for an older model. Just as effective at heating, but Touch-Activated Control display is smaller / dimmer and NOT as user friendly as our original unit. Not sure why KitchenAid would design / build something that is more difficult / cumbersome to operate ? Probably a cost savings for them..
Date published: 2024-04-07
Rated 2 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose an induction cooktop for environmental reasons, but I have to say i really miss cooking on a gas cooktop. Although I like the clean look and ease of cleaning, I am finding fault with this technology. I have tried several times but cannot get a pot to boil on the large center spot. The other burners take long to cook items as well. I have the appropriate cookware so can't figure out the issue.
