Easy to install.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was gifted so I could share my thoughts. I had my youngest son switch out the filter for the refrigerator that I have out in my garage. He did went out and not buy 5 minutes later he was back inside. He said it was easy to set up. So far so good. Water quality is good with clean crisp flavor. No issues. Ice seems fine. All around if this filter is aligned with your refrigerator, I recommend.

We have hard water, mainly iron, and I could immediately tell a difference in the taste of our drinking water from the fridge. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The packaging was sturdy and well protected, which I really appreciate. The insulation was smooth, with no issues and no noise when using the filter. There is also no odor. The water is crystal clear and tastes great. The water pressure is strong and consistent. I have not seen a change in pressure when installing and using this filter. Overall, this is a great product, and I will continue to buy it.

The tube is plastic on the outside and comes in a white color. There is no odor or noticable change in color/quality of the water after installment.

ICEMAKER ONLY
I have had my new Whirlpool fridge for approximately 6 months. The change filter light has come on. I only have an icemaker, not a water dispenser. Is it necessary to change the filter yet? I live alone and use very little ice. In fact, the icemaker is turned off most of the time. Thanks!
