great features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the ice dispenser and water dispenser being inside the freezer and inside the Refrigerator instead of outside where it takes up too much Freezer space. Overall it is working with no problems. Lighting is great.

Beautiful and Built to Last!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator has an attractive finish that avoids fingerprints. The side by side top is convenient as well as the French door freezer section. The Ice Maker makes more than enough to keep the family satisfied. Finally, the added features like Door Alarm, Temp Alarm, Humidity Control, etc prevent any unwanted situations.

Lacking features, cheap design
I wanted the previous version but it was replaced with this design. The prior model had the tuck away shelves. This doesn't. The large deli drawer has rollers to allow it to open easily. The smaller drawers do not and they bind when being opened or closed. The water filter lacks a bypass fitting (I use an external in line filter).
Finally, there's a large coil of plastic tubing loosely zip tied behind the crisper drawer for the chilled water. Sloppy and cheap.
I bought this based on photos from the web site. If I saw this model in the store before purchase I would not have bought it. My limited space also limited my choices.

Cheap Storage Bins
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far my only complaint is the storage bins which are too flimsy and hard too pull in and out. I am pretty sure these are eventually going to break as there is no roller mechanism to help them glide. The thin plastic and the weight of whatever contents are stored in there will break them.

Lower quality door bins that fall off
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned same model for 9 years at our primary house. This year ordered the same model for our summer home. The new model has very poorly designed door bins. They do not engage the door as well. The lower larger door bin fell off the first day we owned it, simply by opening the door. It has happened numerous times, and finally the plastic of the bin has broken. When ABT came out to service, they ordered the wrong door replacement bin. Still waiting for the correct one, which was on back order. The older design bins are heavier and engage the door more securely. New bins have a cheap feel to the. A second difference is the track for the pantry drawers feels cheap. There is a lot of extra play when opening and closing. Again, feels very cheaply made. I think it is a well designed fridge that Kitchenaid decided to prioritize profit over quality.

freezer door handles and other concerns
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to start by commenting on the door handles. While these are rugged and sturdy and avoid scratches, I think the freezer handle wants to come off. It doesn't seem attached well. I have thought about fixing it myself and I probably will in time but I want to see how it plays out first. I have noticed this on friends' fridges (a couple) too. Is this poor workmanship? Seems like it would be easy to correct.
There probably will develop a problem with the lower drawer in the fridge. unless you pull it out evenly on both sides at the same time, one side wants to stick a little making the whole door torque when opening. This will probably set up an action for future failure.
I like the lighting and the seals seem a bit more durable than our previous Kitchen Aid fridge that was very similar to this model but I replaced the seals- at quite an expense about 1/2 through its life .
We do like the product, but failure to have attention to these details suggest planned obsolesce.

Could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has been a little disappointing. After just a few months the interior water dispenser started dripping and in turn required service. Additionally, the metal sides have rolls in them which distract from the unit's overall appearance. Besides these two negatives it's worked fine.

Mixed thoughts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the refrigerator portion. Plenty of room. Freezer not so much. Freezer doesn't shut tight, gasket doesn't seal. Freezer has very limited space, no where for frozen pizza boxes.Not sure I would purchase it again.

Poorly made Drawer Compartments
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am extremely disappointed with the refrigerator drawer compartments. The drawers are very lightweight plastic material and are lacking a good solid innovative feature for opening/closing. The drawers simply run on cheaply made slides that doesn't allow for them to close securely and makes them rather wobbly. Who knows how the humidity levels may be maintained. So far, the refrigerator is working fine and looks nice in the kitchen with my other KitchenAid appliances, but the drawer compartment, singularly, is driving down my overall rating.
