picked a pair up that were refurbs. i only wish i would have bought them all. endless mount and placement options. i had a set of heresey IV, but, they just could not compete over all.

AWR-650-SM Sandstone
I bought 2 and used them as stereo speakers outside on either side of my pool. I run them off a 100 watt power amp and have 3 zones of speakers. 1 pair of Klipsch CDT-3650-C and 1 Klipsch dual voice R-2650-CSM ll speaker mounted in the outdoor patio ceiling. All are great sounding speakers and I would highly recommend them. Fortunately I don’t have neighbors close by so I can crank them up occasionally. The AWR-650-SM rock speakers are great sounding, they’re are more expensive than some of the others but well worth it.

I'm impressed with my rock speaker
I purchased this speaker and paired it with the Sony 2 channel 100w receiver and I am very impressed with the sound, bass, volume and clarity. I have been complimented on this speaker so many times and can't wait to pair it with the 2nd Klipsch Rock Speaker.

Outstanding speakers
I purchased 2 of these speakers in December 2020 and we were so impressed that we decided to add 2 more speakers. We have 6 klipsch speakers (4 rock speakers & 2 mounted to our covered patio ceiling) to surround our pool/patio area. The sound is outstanding. I can't imagine any other speakers sounding better. Even though these speakers are relatively new we have no complaints so far. They appear to be very well constructed. My husband ran the speaker wire and hook up was simple. We would HIGHLY recommend. Customer service with the Klipsch team was also excellent.

Best outdoor speaker I've found
If you're looking for outdoor speakers that blend into the environment, and don't sound like a tin can, these are for you. They sound great, have great low end for such small enclosure, and are high quality build. Multiple options for wiring - each speaker can be stereo, or you can wire them independently as left / right / mono.

Great outdoor speakers!
Put two of these out by my pool and absolutely love them! Great sound from the pair running off a Yamaha RX V-1400 for power and it cranks these speakers. I also have two Klipsch AW-650 over the patio on the same receiver. When all four are cranked up, it's pretty amazing! I spent a lot of time researching outdoor speakers and I'm very happy with the result.

Great sound from an outdoor speaker
I originally purchased just 1 to try and see if wired for stereo the sound would be good. I did not hear enough presence with 2 channels going into one speaker. I ordered another which changed the resistance from 8 ohms to 4 make sure your amplifier can handle 4 ohm speakers. Sound was good but not great. Over time these speakers broke in and the bass became much better. These speakers have incredible range for an outdoor speaker. They are better than some bookshelf speakers in their price range.

AWR-650-SM Outdoor Speaker
WOAH! Bought a total of 10 of these speakers. ( we throw parties ). We have set up 14 gauge speaker wire to these going to a receiver inside the house. And what can i say. Totally worth the hassle. I recommend hiring a sound technician to do the weiring. We have 2 by our pool. 3 surrounding the patio. And 4 around our 1/2 acre property.Having those split up so we can have different music playing in different areas for the kids is a plus. Allowing them to play whatever kind of music they want to without disrupting ours.

AWR-650-SM Outdoor Speaker
I heard the Rock at local store, sounded great so I bought. Hooked it up to zone 2 0f Yamaha v665. I put on our large patio used the 2 channel hookup.Let me tell you, the sound is GREAT!! Plenty of volume, excellant highs and plenty of bass,may get another if we have any dance parties!!A good quality speaker,you wont be sorry, its actually amazing!

AWR-650-SM Outdoor Speaker
With no reviews anywhere on the web, I took a gamble on these and ordered two. Klipsch is a great brand of speakers so I thought they should be good and I was not disappointed. I ran one 100ft and one 50ft 14 gauge speaker wire from 100w per channel home theater receiver to each speaker. You could use any amp rated 100w - 200w per channel speaker or a A and B/ multizone capable receiver) Clear instructions from klipsch told me how to cross the speaker's four wires over to create either 2 channel (for one speaker only) or to create 1 channel per speaker (left and right) like I have it. Set the speakers approx 20ft apart, pointed towards the house and turned the receiver on. Adjusted the distance to get the pefect stereo sound when sitting at the patio table. Turned the receiver to the max and sound didn't distort one bit, the speakers still have more to offer if your amp or receiver is greater than 100w per channel. The highs are precise and clear just as advertised and the lows/bass were surprisingly solid for outdoors, no need for a separate subwoofer. I have the sandstone which is a slightly lighter color than the rest of my rock patio but they don't look out of place. I absolutely love them and if you want quality, the money is well spent with these.

Will this speaker play thru my Sonos
Those speakers can work via Bluetooth to any phone, tablet, etc. If you would like to use these speakers wirelessly through Sonos app you would need the Sonos Amp. That would allow you to play whatever content is on the other Sonos speakers, and these speakers at the same time. If you just want to listen to Spotify, Amazon Music, etc. – there are no additional purchases required – they can simply pair via Bluetooth and listen out of box.
