Oh Happy Day! I'v got a new LG Dishwasher
Just received my new LG dishwasher and WOW, just wow! I now can feel confident taking dishes out in front of friends and family. What do I mean? With my old dishwasher lots of food would be left on the dishes and I would be embarrass if someone saw this. Now, I can load my rice pot with dried rice, my dinner plates with spaghetti sauce and mac and cheese plates with dried cheese etc. without any concerns. So happy with my new LG appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with the purchase. This is a very technologically advanced machine. It works very quietly, at least compared to the previous dishwasher. There was a bit of confusion with receiving and installing the product. The dishwasher has a lot of advantages, I won't list them all, but there are also a few disadvantages. After pressing the start button, I only have 4 seconds to close the door and start the cycle. The dishwasher is equipped with a sensor for an open door, so why can’t it start the cycle after the door is closed, or at least count down from ten? But perhaps the biggest disappointment was the inability to start the dishwasher from the app. This is certainly possible, but only if you first press the remote start button on the dishwasher. We like to load the dishwasher, close the door, and not start the cycle right away, but then the next morning we are in for a surprise in the form of unwashed dishes. It would be very nice to be able to check the status of the dishwasher from our bed, and if it hasn't been started, start the process. But overall, the product is very good, it performs its functions fully and efficiently. Highly recommend.

Excellent dishwasher. Bought an LG refrigerator last year and so happy with it so when my dishwasher died, I decided to look for an LG dishwasher as well. Love the top 3rd shelf for big utensils. Love the fact that when I open the dishwasher, the whole inside lights up! It also plays a happy little tune when the cycle is finished. Most importantly, my dishes are thoroughly cleaned and I don’t even have to rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. There are many different settings to choose from and when running, the dishwasher is pretty quiet! I highly recommend this dishwasher!

Everything about this dishwasher says quality. The racks are sturdy, hold dishes securely, and they glide in and out so smoothly. The dishwasher has ten cycles and a countdown timer. The dishes come out clean and dry at the end of the cycle, even the plastic containers in the top rack. It operates very quietly and signals completion with a gentle chime. When the door is opened, an interior light comes on. The exterior is simple and sleek with a finish that resists fingerprints and is easy to keep looking shiny and new. I love my new dishwasher.

Installation problems

The LG technician who came after the second dishwasher was delivered was wonderful to correct the multiple installation mistakes and hook up the drain so it worked . I suggest that LG train the delivery/installation teams.
Now it works great. Dishes never cleaner.

The LDTH7972S is worth every penny!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got our LDTH7972S nearly two months and boy, is it fantastic! Actually, "game changer" sums it up best. Don't listen to the negative reviews - if you're like us and haven't upgraded your dishwasher in over 10 years, you will be completely awed by how AMAZING this LDTH7972S is in comparison. For starters, it is SO quiet! We never ran our old dishwasher at night, it was so loud. Not this one: we frequently run it on a delay after midnight for time of use savings on our electric bill and we never hear it running! Instead, we're greeted in the morning with sparkling dishes, cups and utensils to be put away. The LDTH7972S does an incredible job of cleaning and drying, especially compared to our old dishwasher. With Finish rinsing agent and Cascade dish detergent tabs, whatever we wash comes out sparkling clean. We've also found the Night Dry with Dry boost gets everything dry, with the only exception being the bottoms of upside-down coffee mugs or anything else that can collect water if not overturned and/or angled correctly. That's also vast improvement over what we were used to seeing with our old dishwasher. Another feature we like is how easy it is to lower or raise the second and third racks. I could go on about all of the great features of the LDTH7972S, such as the ThinQ app - but suffice it to say that every feature that LG describes on their website about this dishwasher are spot on and work just as described. But there are two simple yet amazing features that might go unnoticed in other reviews, so we will mention them here, are the LED lights on the inside of the dishwasher as well as the LED display that appears on the outside top center of the door when the machine is powered on. Both of these simple features are game-changers. Being able to see clearly inside the machine when you open the door is obviously wonderful, and the exterior LED display is pure, high-tech magic. See the uploaded photo from our dishwasher: I can't stop marveling at how the display appears on the stainless steel without any hint of a display screen in the door. We love doing our dishes with the LDTH7972S and you will, too!

Fantastic!
I have all LG appliances, after using a portable dishwasher for many years, I decided to buy and install this dishwasher, the hardest part was cutting out old drawers to put this in. after getting it hooked up, started it up and thought uhoh it doesn't work, this thing is so quiet its crazy. I cannot hear it run.. Like all the LG appliances I have, this is no acception, its perfect, and it does a great job of cleaning dishes.. No more pushing a portable around. I can't express how good LG really is enough, simple to use, and again crazy quiet machine!

Our old dishwasher could never get the dishes dry even with rinse aid. Our new LG Dishwasher cleans and dries the dishes. It will even have them dry by morning if I use the night dry option even if there is no rinse aid. Love being able to empty the dishwash and just put dishes away.

Really love this machine ! It’s quiet it cleans beautifully. Even coffee cups that have stains from tea and coffee come clean like new. Love the third rack on top for lids and small items. It has nice holders for wine and martini glasses and they are secure too. I am very happy with this machine so far.

Great! Lighting inside is awesome
This is our second LG dishwasher (upgraded to LG at our last house - then moved here). We love the rinse option (need to download the cycle -dumb that its not native to the machine). The one hour cycle does the trick for most washes. We occasionally will use the full cycle. We had an issue with install, but it was fixed promptly. LG came out, even though it was a 3rd party install - what good service from LG! It's WAY quieter than our old dishwasher, but you can still hear it running.

Can't find this exact model (LDTH7972D) on display. On the display models I could see... when opening... the door falls to the ground... no tension! Is this normal?
