Great design

LG WashTower Stacked SMART Laundry is Exceptional

It does an exceptional job cleaning and drying and has so many options based on the load. Really enjoy the LG ThinQ App that notifies me when the the cycle is finished rather running down 2 flights of stairs to check on status.

AI Mode + Smartphone App Make This A Real Winner
A real step up from LG's earlier models. Integration with the smartphone app and Wi-Fi is 1000x better than before. AI Washing works perfectly for 90% of load types. Ease of use is the best I've seen. Design is compact but still has large load capacity.

Easy to use, quiet, and many helpful features
We retired, moved, and left our old washer and dryer with the home we sold. After some addition construction in our north woods weekend home turned permanent home, we turned a small bedroom into a laundry area and half bath so decided to go with a stackable washer and dryer as the laundry space was limited. We did our research and decided on the the LG WKEX300HBA and am really happy we did. We absolutely love our new unit. The instructions and display are easy to follow, has a wide variety of features to use, and is really quiet. Above all, it cleans and dries wonderfully. Our contractor tried it out when he had it installed and even he and his workers were impressed with the looks of it and the ease of use. And now, even my husband is helping with the laundry. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a stackable laundry center. Thank you LG for a top-notch product!

Absolutely No Buyers Remorse
After having our machine for over 1 month and using it regularly, I can say that I truly enjoy washing clothes in it. I love all the settings, the fact that you can operate the machine via the app, the special songs it can play to alert you when a load is finished, but my most favorite thing about it is the EZ dispense feature. I absolutely love that I do not have to manually dispense detergent and softener with each and every load. Now I just need to figure out how my machine could automatically fold my clothes for me!

Two Are Better Than One
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd LG Washtower so I knew what I was getting into... my laundry room has both a 220 electrical hook-up and a gas line hook-up, so I decided after buying the electric version of the LG Studio Washtower, that I would get it a gas version to keep it company, so they both sit side-by-side and my laundry room looks like a small laundry mat! Both the electric version and the gas version are super-quiet. The main thing I noticed between the two is how much faster the gas dryer dries clothes...gas does get a lot hotter. The nice thing about owning two of these (as I'm sure some will wonder why) is that my laundry gets washed in half the time...with two loads going at the same time...I'm not sitting around waiting for one to finish washing so I can start another load...I now can start two loads at the same time and when they are done I can start two more, knocking out four loads of laundry in half the time, freeing up all the rest of my day to do the things I really enjoy doing!

What a great machine!
First of all, let's start with looks. This unit is slick looking. I love the black color we got. We had someone in our home delivering furniture and he peaked in our bathroom on the way by and stopped in his tracks. He wanted to check it out and chat about it.
Next is functionality. This is just a clever design! We had side by side front loading units before and wanted to stack to save space, but the problem with doing that with normal front loading units is the dryer controls are on the top front of the unit which 6 feet high. My wife is 5'2" which makes this problematic.
Having the controls in the center make this a game changer. As well, the looks of an all in one unit that is actually full size (we got the 5.0 size) is awesome! The unit works awesome. Washing machine and dryer work wonderfully.

This was a great replacement for our previous side by side units. Saved a lot of space! Quiet running units so much so that I’m glad I get the app messages to know a cycle is finished because I can’t hear it when it’s running. There’s even an alert that’s sent to your phone if you leave clothes in either machine too long. Love all the features and how well it takes care of what used to be a tedious task!

I have been wanting this washer/dryer for so long and was recently able to purchase it and I LOVE it. It washes and drys so quickly. The Tower even has WiFi that informs me when the laundry is finished and allows me to control certain features.
It gives me so much more space in my laundry room that my husband was able to build storage closets.
Would definitely recommend this product.

A big step up from my last LG washer and dryer!
I unexpectedly had to buy a new washer and dryer to replace my old LG ones when I discovered the dryer hookup at my new place was electric and not gas. The price tag was hard to swallow, but so far I'm absolutely in love with this wash tower. The features are so advanced, and it's doing an amazing job of washing and drying my clothes. My old LG washer and dryer were still going strong after eight years, so my fingers are crossed that the longevity is just as good with this wash tower.

Neat machine
Overall I like this wash tower very well. I have had it a few weeks and still trying to learn all the different wash/dry options - a bit confusing and not so simple as just turning on/off. I love the large drum in both the washer and dryer. It is a very sleek and attractive appliance and does not take up much room in my wash/dry closet.

Too Reliant on the Phone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish more than anything that this system wasn’t reliant on the app to use. IMO the app should have been supplemental and not a must for every day use. On the machine you get up to 3 settings to adjust. The other settings are only available from the phone. See my screenshots. I don’t understand why not have the ability to scroll up on the machine’s screen to get to these settings, why only available on the phone? Means I always have to have my phone to manage laundry, it’s infuriating. Also, it’s problematic for house guests. I have a frequent guest who has allergies and I keep “clear and free” pods around. But he must use my phone so the machine doesn’t auto dispense.
My other annoyance is that there is no way to manually input the settings you want from scratch. You can only choose pre selected profiles. Some of which you cannot change settings for. Why can there not be a profile-free operation where I just choose the individual items I want for that load? This isn’t an option from the machine of the phone app.
The machine performs well. The user operation is not well thought out. It frustrates me and my guests. If knew this before buying I would have gotten something different.

Dryer has constant error code. Heats inconsisten
Bought this several months ago. Since the first week the dryer has been inconsistent with amount of heat it generates, and kicks the 'gas" code periodically.
Replaced the gas hose & valve and exhaust tube. Even had a tech come out too no avail. Problems still occur.

I loved this unit at first. I have had this unit for about 1 year. Sometimes the wash never adds water but dispenses the detergent, requiring a second cycle. But that isn't the worst of it! All of a sudden all my whites are getting ruined with brown spots. And now there are random blue spots on everything!! I have followed the cleaning regiments. I clean the filters, clean the tub, remove and clean the detergent drawer. I use colorless detergent, so how is it possible I get blue spots? This is very frusterating.

Many issues within one month!!!

Washer is leaking water through the door with AI mode
and large loads. Dryer door is not closing tightly and lint
escapes through the dryer door and also condensation
water leaks through the dryer door!!!
