Compact and functional
The refrigerator is compact and perfect for small kitchen space. The counter depth fit well with rest of my kitchen counters. Yes, it will be smaller if you come from larger refrigerator, but look more positively, it prevents me from accumulating food and encourage me to cook fresh food often.

Follow Up: Room Needed to Open Freezer Door
I bought this refrigerator in September 2022 and it's worked very well. Now that I have been using it for a while - I have an answer to a question I prior to purchase. I was concerned about how wide the door would open in my small space. At 180 degrees - the full drawers in the freezer are accessible if you are careful - the drawer will bump the inside of the freezer door otherwise. As far as quiet running - it's very quiet. Occasionally there have been soft quirky little sounds that go away quickly.

Very quiet
This one meets my 5 must-have criteria: 1) fits nicely in my small galley kitchen, with 2" clearance all around; 2) exemplary energy efficiency; 3) R600a eco-friendly refrigerant; 4) very quiet; 5) holds magnets. Would have preferred a top freezer, and a white finish, but I've quickly gotten used to this fridge; no problem. I've had it 6 weeks now, and all is good. From my first energy bill, using this fridge, I'm guessing energy usage is roughly 1.4 kWh/day. (I'm single, and I'm careful.) I have the crisper bin set to 'Vegetable', and it keeps vegetables in excellent condition. For me the ice-cube maker is a waste of time; I took it and its drawer out, and just use the shelf. One design flaw: shelf spacing in the fridge. The sidewall moldings have only 5 allowable shelf heights, spaced rather strangely. I couldn't make those spacings work for me. Finally I used 4 drinking glasses to space out the top two shelves the way they're usable for me. A better fridge design would have 4 'ladder' tracks up the inside walls, 2 on each side, so the shelves could be placed wherever you want. That design would save the money and energy used for molding the current plastic walls. But maybe it wouldn't be so pretty.

Looks sleek and performs beautifully
I bought this fridge a few weeks because I wanted a bottom freezer that would fit into my apartment kitchen. It is super quiet and works beautifully. The food is perfectly cool and there is ample space. The fold up shelf is very helpful with bigger items that need to fit inside. There is plenty of space in the freezer and the ice maker is great and works beautifully! I keep going into the kitchen just to look at it because it looks so modern and sleek.

My old fridge/freezer was dying on me so I took a chance on this LG product. I purchased it without seeing it in the store since it is a special size and no one carried it in their showrooms. But I've had it for only 3 weeks and it's been great so far. Quiet, cold, sleek and functional.

Very Nice
We've had this fridge for around 6 months. I needed a smaller fridge to fit into a unique area and I wanted a bottom freezer. I like the looks and it seems like a quality fridge. It works very well and cools items very quickly when putting things that aren't cold into it (I have a thermometer to monitor fridge and freezer). Ours isn't noisy at all compared to other reviewers. I also know that any newer fridge is going to be noisier than pretty much any older fridge, but like I said ours isn't noisy at all. In fact, I think it's quieter than our main fridge (different brand).

Pretty good fridge
Pros: small exterior size and flexible, well-thought out shelf arrangement. Even with the fridge packed full, you can see everything! Big freezer with very nice drawers. No water connection for ice (this is a pro for us since we don't have a fridge water line in the first place, rarely use ice, and don't want to waste valuable freezer space for ice making). Stylish, modern looks.
Cons: the compressor seems to run quite often, but I think many modern fridges do this. There's only one produce drawer, so you get a bit more space, but you have to mix fruits and vegs in that one compartment. A standard gallon milk jug doesn't fit on the door shelf - only on the main compartment bottom shelf with the second shelf half-folded out of the way - which means we're now buying half-gallon milk boxes instead. There top of the fridge is not flat, it has a box with electrical connections on it, so you can't use it for storage.

Very Good Refrigerator for Small Kitchens
Just bought this stylish LG refrigerator. It perfectly fits my small kitchen space dimensions and was Consumer Reports’ highest rated model in this size range.
The bottom freezer design lets me keep track of veggies & fruit. Having one large crisper drawer instead of two means you can’t differentiate humidity levels for fruits vs vegetables - which is not great - but isn’t a deal breaker. The customer service was a stand out. Tom Stagis, the store manager, made the process easier. My old refrigerator was failing and Tom offered a small replacement if my old refrigerator “died” before the new one arrived. He went the extra mile in helping me set up a rebate and in getting the new refrigerator to me ASAP. The new fridge arrived in the time frame I was given. Tom quickly responded to a minor cosmetic issue with the new refrigerator.

Good fridge!
Really love the fridge so far! The only thing is that I feel it doesn't fit as much as my shorter, but deeper old school white crappy fridge. The heights of the shelves seem a little off (maybe I'm just getting used to them). The freezer also does not hold as much as I'd like, but I LOVE the little ice holder. Overall works really well, looks great, and I love that it's magnetic.

Nice fridge for limited space.
I’m almost at 5 stars on this fridge. It a great fridge for smallish kitchens. The ice maker isn’t automatic- but rather built in trays that you fill at the sink and empty with a knob. Since we didn’t want to run a water line in the crawl space under the fridge, this was fine. Only dislike is the protruding area on top of the fridge which makes it hard to store things there. PC Richards was great. All delivery promises were met. No regrets.

LG Dimension of depth with door open off 5"
LG lists refrigerator depth with door at 90% open as 46.7" while actual is over 51". This was an important clearance dimension for me and I have to cut away part of my bar counter to accommodate. Other than that I like its look, its use of interior space and so far it is very quiet. The door shelves great help to access items. Plastic shelves and drawers seem a bit flimsy, hope they hold up. One shelf is a two piece "trick" glass shelf that is split in the middle so that the front half can slide under the back half allowing taller items on the front half of the lower shelf. I was putting glass bottles on the front half of the "trick" shelf and when I pushed a bottle to slide it further back, the front half of the trick shelf, tipped down to slide under the back half of the shelf. Other bottles on the front half fell over, it was glass bottles falling over on a glass shelf. Fortunately nothing broke, but I felt compelled to rig a gap wedge to prevent the front half from moving and tipping enough to upset standing bottles. The refrigerator is efficient with space, very quiet and looks nice. I might have given it a 4 star if only LG did not make such an important dimensional error.

Poor Freezer section

The unit on display was not powered so we did not notice the lighting issue. There is no light in the freezer section making it very hard to see your food. Freezer stopped working after 2 years

A 2 year old fridge shouldn't do this. I had a cheap Amana with a bottom freezer and its still going strong 24 years which is insane. Junk. Do not recommend.

Stopped working after a week
Was great for the first few days. Stopped working after a week. PC Richards has been less than helpful. I have to schedule a service call and will be without a refrigerator for 7 days. Great customer service. If I could give zero stars I would.

BLOWN COMPRESSOR AFTER 6 MONTHS
UNIT DIED AFTER 6 MONTHS. LOST $200 OF FOOD. BLOWN COMPRESSOR. HAVE TO TAKE TIME OFF FROM WORK AND NO REFRIDGERATOR FOR 9 DAYS.

Noisy!!
I just bought this and it is so noisy! I had an lg refrigerator before, similar but slightly different model, that was very quiet. I don’t know if it’s this model or this particular refrigerator, but it makes a loud vibrating noise. It is for a small apartment so I can’t have this level of noise, plus I’m afraid the thing will eventually break. It’s very frustrating because now I will have to send it back.

How wide do the doors need to open in order to pull out the fridge drawer and the freezer drawers?
You need to open the doors wide as if you were opening the refrigerator. Not an issue. The freezer draws open about half way through. I didn't have any problems. Worked great for us.
