Does the door have zero clearance? Is the vent fan always on?

Door Clearance: when fully open, the door overlaps edge of microwave cabinet by approximately one inch. As long as your cabinets do not exceed 14 inches from wall to face of cabinet, door overlap is not an issue. Vent Fan: the vent fan runs when the microwave is running (like all microwave ovens I have ever owned). The microwave also has an exhaust fan underneath that only runs when switched on (2 speeds) or when it detects excessive heat from the stove underneath it (mine has never come on that way yet).
