Excellent TV and Soundbar system working in unison
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this LG - 83" Class C3 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV about 3 weeks ago and added the LG - Soundbar C with Wireless Subwoofer, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X & IMAX Enhanced to build a balanced and matched system. There was one problem with this idea. Unless you dig down into the Specs for the Soundbar you won't find out that it cannot be attached to the TV because the included stand and adapter does not fit on the 83" TV even though it states - for all C TVs! So instead of having the Soundbar attached directly to the TV it was placed in front of it.
Anyway, the system sounded great because it created a system where the TV speakers and Soundbar speakers worked in unison to produce great sound to go with the fantastic picture. Previously the TV speakers were turned off and only the Soundbar system produced the sound.

Awesome Sound output!
The soundbar that I purchased in tandem with the TV makes the experience 1000% better. The soundbar engrosses you in the excitement of an action movie and all genres . I highly recommend adding the LG SC9S soundbar. ❤️

Great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It paired seamlessly with my 55 inch LG C2 and it sounds amazing. For those experiencing issues such as poor sound quality, poor bass, sound not much different compared to the TV speakers, i suggest they perform a factory reset by simultaneously holding the WiFi touch button on the soundbar and pressing the mute button on the soundbar remote for at least 5s. This should fix sound related issues (caused by firmware bugs).

S95QR 810 watts ,... large room
despite the power difference ,
the Features and operation are very similar .
SC9S eArc ouputs video with audio , to the TV .
SC9S eArc inputs audio from the TV .
voice confirmation is nice , however
when muted , the voice also mutes .
while muted , 3 amber LEDs flash , they do NOT turn off.
thus when muted and watching closed caption ,
the 3 LEDs are always visible and flashing .
i covered the 3 LEDs with black electrical tape .
hdmi connector space is cramped ,
under the sound bar .
to me, the sound quality is nice .
if you want Atmos , but can't go to S95QR,
then SC9S is the answer.
LG products have always been reliable for me ,
LG website needs work .

Amazing Soundbar !

The sound is amazing for regular TV and movies. All the sound settings are great for different experiences such as for sports, music, etc…

A mind blowing sound in a small package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG SC9S SoundBar is a fantastic addition to any home theater setup. It's a lot smaller than soundbars I am typically used to but make no mistake, it packs a serious punch of sound. It delivers incredible sound quality that will make your movies and music an entirely new experience. Additionally it also has a very sleek design that fits well with any TV and underneath the TV which I haven't experienced with other soundbars that are quite bulky. It's also really easy to set up. The wireless subwoofer adds extra umpfh to the low-end sounds, giving you a really deep bass that you can feel. The soundbar also has different sound modes that you can choose from, depending on what you're watching or listening to so make sure to explore those options. It has Bluetooth connectivity as well which was super convinient for my minimal wire setup. It's pretty straight forward to connect your phone or tablet and stream music wirelessly. The LG SC9S SoundBar is a great investment for the cost and can make a home theater that much more impressive.

CRYSTAL CLEAR SOUND
Honestly, I had low expectations. I haven’t owned a sound bar in years. BUT the quality of the sound and the cohesiveness of the set up is amazing. The WOWCAST really uses each speaker to its full potential. The bass is perfect and the sound changes among the different settings is really impressive. It definitely matches the quality of my C2 TV.

Well worth the money - awesome sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar by far has the best sound of any tv, or sound bar I’ve ever used. The sound quality is almost as good as that of a stereo receiver with 5.1 or better speaker configuration. When paired with corresponding LG tv there are a ton of options for the sound. Everything from working by itself or in conjunction with the tv speakers. I find YouTube and other lesser quality streaming services a little flat sounding and lacking bass from the subwoofer, but with streaming from Amazon, Disney or HBO plus the soundbar excels, the surround sound kicks in, the subwoofer comes alive and rivals a lot of sound systems.

Amazing sound quality, sleek clean look

I love how it can connect to my phone and you can change the sound quality and able to configure the sound with the size of the room all from the app. It sounds amazing but I do think I would like to add to speakers to make the surround sound top notch. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG SC9S SoundBar, First off, let me say that the SC9S, was something that I was looking forward too and it didn't disappoint me... Easy to link up with the tv. I’m not a sound expert, but I can tell you the sound is clear and crisp and the bass will fill the room. It's also got some great bluetooth and wifi functionality. Bluetooth works as expected, make sure to set your soundbar up to only be discoverable when on your wifi network. If you have many neighbors this will help reduce unwanted connectivity blasting their music of choice. LG could make the experience even better if they came out with a TV remote that could control the sound bar as well, eliminating the need for a second remote. I'm very happy with this soundbar

Great Soundbar for Music and Movies
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new LG SC9S soundbar from LG is pretty awesome with its stylish and sleek elegant design that fits in with any entertainment setup flawlessly. The soundbar comes with all the bells and whistles you'd want in a soundbar such as Dolby Atmos, DTS X, and more, as well as being capable of playing from many sources. Setting up the soundbar was very easy and only just required plugging in the soundbar to power and source as well as plugging in the subwoofer to power, which the soundbar automatically connected to. Sounds from movies and TV shows fill the room with its triple upfiring speakers and bass shakes the room with the powerful subwoofer. The included remote is great for controlling the soundbar and its many features, and its a nice glossy stylish remote. The included Synergy mounting bracket is awesome if you have any of the LG C series TV's, which allows you to mount the soundbar underneath the TV to make it look as if its floating while looking really neat and tidy. I definitely recommend this soundbar to anyone looking to get a high quality and great sounding soundbar to complement their TV, especially if you own an LG C series TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new LG C SC9 Soundbar was made for my LG OLED C2 TV. Setup was a snap, I just plugged it into the TV with HDMI and ARC kicked in. The TV's remote worked right away, no programming.
The mobile app made it easy to dial in customizations. The soundstage was so much broader with Atmos and IMAX capabilities than what the TV speakers provided. I'm waiting to repaint to then leverage the included Synergy Bracket to attach the soundbar to the TV, such great integration!
Historically, the audio sync always annoyed me with other soundbars. This soundbar was set well out of the box, but it is easy to adjust the sync via the mobile app. The subwoofer is a great addition, but not overwhelming. It blends nicely with the soundbar and needed no setup.

Hands down best sound bar ice ever used

This one by far is the best and easiest to setup, all I did was connect the Hdmi cable and that was it no setting configuration needed. Now let me get to the sound , I am blown away with how much sound and bass is coming from this small unit . It shakes my living room I had a 6 speaker surround sound before and this LG blows it away in every way.

Ultimate Sound Experience with LG SC9S Soundbar
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG SC9S sound bar puts out an impactful volume and bass in a sleek and stylish package. This sound bar blends in well with my current décor and the lights are not obnoxious or distracting. The sound fills up the living room whether I am watching a movie or playing a video game. I feel that I can truly hear every last detail while playing video games which can be critical and save your characters life if an enemy is sneaking around near by. Movies come to life and it feels as if you are right there in the action listening to every word and whisper. The volume increments subtly so you can find the perfect volume level for each and every experience without it being too loud. The sound bar pairs well with any TV but it takes your sound experience to the next level when paired with an LG TV. In my opinion this is a must have for any house hold for the sound enhancement experience. The sound bar is both reasonably priced and stylish as if it were made to fit in any household. If you are looking for a new sound bar this is the one to purchase, I can’t recommend it enough!

Great Bundle!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high quality bundle. The SC9S soundbar has a very booming and crisp sound that will definitely fill your room. I opted to buy the add on back speakers to give it a full surround sound and it is very high quality. The C3 TV is...amazing... admittedly this is my first OLED TV but my goodness is the picture amazing. I have so far watched movies, shows, and sports with the TV and I dont have any complaints. One of the coolest parts of the TV is the remote, it has a pointer on it then allows you to use it almost like a mouse. I would highly recommend both the SC9S as well as the C3 TV.

L G Sound Bar I would recommend

When I change station, the volume would either increase or decrease. I'm constantly changing the volume which is very annoying. Maybe someone can instruct me how to make the correct setting.

Swapped cables for better sound - Optical Audio
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the LG SC9S Soundbar and paired it with my 2020 LG 55" OLED TV, hoping to create an immersive and easy-to-use home theater system in our living room, where we daily watch Numerous shows from a variety of sources. I used an HDMI eARC connection directly from my three-year old LG OLED, downloaded the iPhone app and turned up the volume. LG includes an HDMI cable with the Soundbar. Set-up was fairly easy, especially using the app. I set the TV's audio output for HDMI eARC and started testing the new Soundbar. Using the HDMI cable, the audio results were muddled. While watching favorite streaming shows, the voices were often drowned out or made difficult to hear by background music and noises. Talk shows sounded great as did the news, but shows with music and sound effects create issues. There are eight different "Sound Effects", but none cleared up the audio issues. Two seem redundant "AI Sound Pro automatically optimize sound based on content type" sounds very much like like "Standard - Generally, the best sound is set to be heard". The translations could be clearer. I called LG consumer support to troubleshoot my sound issues and the support person was quite patient and helpful. I swapped out the HDMI, reset the Soundbar and tried different input sources, but no improvement to the muddling. It was suggested I try an Optical Audio cable and that fixed the problem, but seems like a step-back in technology. Thankfully I had an audio optical cable and connected it from the 2020 LG OLED to the Soundbar, changed the TV’s output to match that cable and the “muddled audio” issues disappeared! Not sure yet if I still get all of the benefits and features of the Soundbar (IMAX, Dolby Atmos) using Optical Audio, but I can now simultaneously play audio from the Soundbar AND the TV, for even more sound. I had hoped to place the speaker in front of my 2020 LG OLED, but doing so blocks the RF sensor, so the remote won't work. I therefore put it on a shelf above the TV and it looks nice there, blending into the shelf. I placed the subwoofer behind the set and it is nicely hidden, but the bass is still impressive. In conclusion, the sound is very impressive, I just wish the set-up had been smoother and that the recommended HDMI connection had been successful. At least now I have excellent sound from all sources and am ready for even greater performance when and if I upgrade to a new LG OLED evo.

Easy install, great depth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sound Bar was very easy to install. Even unboxing was very nice. Well organised, and easy to figure out what went where. Installing just required an HDMI cable into the TV's HDMI/ARC port, and selecting the input on the bar. Everything worked well from the start. It took a bit to figure out the volume settings at first, but it was fairly intuitive. One of the problems I had was the sparsity of configuration information. Once plugged in, there is no way to contour the audio. You can't alter the EQ much, or vary the "front", "side", ATMOS properties. Overall, it presented a nice image, but seemed a bit heavy on the mid high frequencies. I must admit, I am a strong user of a full range speaker set up, but I felt a bit disappointed in the overall tonality of the bar. Perhaps there are controls I am not yet aware of, or maybe a software update to address these areas. Once again, the lack of configuration information was an issue. This would still be a great system for small rooms, or apartment dwellers though.

Great for Music
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is honestly one of the best sounding soundbars I've heard for music. Its mindblowing how good it sounds. I love watching music videos on YouTube and this really beats everything else I've ever heard. So why 4 stars? First... in my opinion the sound isn't great for TV/movie viewing. Especially after listening to the stellar music performance. It falls a bit flat to me. The TV I was intending to use this with is an LG OLED CX55, but it doesn't mount to the bottom of that TV. Only the C2/C3 Series (CX series excluded), so instead I paired this up with my 65" TV in my bedroom. It doesn't have wall mount brackets on the back because of the way it's designed, but it does have screws on the bottom (I'm assuming for a different kind of mount that goes under the soundbar). If you have a C2/C3 Series LG OLED, this seems like a no-brainer for instantly better sound. SIDE NOTE: The box is huge and heavy. I'm a strong 5'10" male, and I needed help getting it up my stairs.

Muddled audio - fixed by Optical Audio cable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband wanted to upgrade our old receiver, multi-speaker system and give me an easier way to get great audio without pushing a lot of buttons. This seems to be the answer, but the process was not as easy as expected. Initial set up utilized the included HDMI cable and the hook-up was easy, but audio issues ensued.
It sounded great with news and talk shows, which is nice. However, when we watched movies or streaming series the voices got muddled with the background music/effects, etc. making it very difficult to follow the dialogue. We tried the various settings, including the "Clear Voice" one, but none cleared up this issue. The LG OLED’s built-in speakers were clearer and preferable to using the Soundbar. Granted we do not have a newer evo C-series set, as ours is three years old, so we cannot get all of the features, like TV Sound Mode Share.
We contacted LG Consumer support and after a fair deal of trouble-shooting (resets, swapping HDMI cable, adjusting TV sound settings) we were advised to try an Audio Optical cable connection. That cable, unlike the HDMI, is not included with the Soundbar.
This seems to have fixed the muddled audio issue. Now we can clearly hear dialogue, as well as the music and sound effects. Surprsing that this was not possible with the HDMI cable, but thankfully we had an audio optical cable at home to test and fix the issue.
One nice feature of using the Audio Optical cable is that we can also use the TV’s speakers at the same time, adding even more sound output.
The Soundbar looks great above our 2020 LG OLED set. Trying to place it on the counter in front of the TV blocked the remote sensor, so we placed it above the set. The downloaded LG app makes it easy to adjust Soundbar settings including volume and select type of show; cinema, music, sports, game, etc.
We are happy with the Soundbar, just wish it had worked better with the HDMI cable on our older set. We have a great immersive audio source to use now and in the future, should we upgrade to a new LG OLED evo set.

Quality product, low end support
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound quality is fantastic but the amount of headaches associated with this product are too much.. I purchased this is tandem with a Class C2 Series OLED evo smart TV, You can't innately sync the sound from the t.v. and the speaker through the settings on the t.v. you have to download the LG soundbar app and adjust the AV sync every single time you turn it off and back on. I've had connectivity issues in the past as well, overall it just kind of seems like the software for this device is lacking and the software developers seem to not care about the end product.
