Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality I have ordered this monitor for my monster PC buil and it just a perfect. The picture is quite clear, the size of the screen is large, a little unusual after the previous 22 inches, you want to squeeze further, but the picture is simply stunning. Also liked deep black and matte. I will actively use gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect display for simulation, Better than VR As a student pilot, I’ve always looked for ways to improve my situational awareness and flight instincts during my free time. That’s why flight simulation has become a key part of my training routine. I use a full range of external flight controls—yoke, throttle, and rudder pedals—to make the experience as close to real as possible. But what truly makes or breaks a simulation setup is the visual field. At first, I invested in a Meta Quest 3 for VR flying. While the ability to turn my head and look around freely in all directions was impressive, I ran into some serious limitations. The visual quality was lacking due to hardware constraints, the frame rate often dropped, and most importantly, the motion sickness was hard to ignore. It became clear that I needed a high-end monitor that could deliver immersion without the drawbacks of VR. After a week of use for 45GX950A, I can say this monitor is exactly what I was looking for. Even though my laptop doesn’t support the full 5120x2160 resolution, the simulation still ran beautifully at 3840x2160. I never once felt limited. The curved OLED display completely fills my field of view, offering a wide and immersive flying experience. Unlike with VR, there’s no dizziness, no eye strain, and no blur. The clarity and depth of the visuals are absolutely stunning. I could clearly see to the sides of my aircraft, which is essential for flight training and spatial awareness. There was a slight stretch in the side viewing angles, Perhaps due to my current resolution settings but overall, It didn’t impact my experience much. The visual quality remained sharp, bright, and natural throughout. Colors are rich, contrast is deep, and motion is fluid. It really feels like I’m flying through the skies. The user interface is another win. Unlike my previous 27” monitor from another brand (which had five separate buttons that always confused me), the 45GX950A has a single joystick-style control that makes navigating settings simple and quick. When switching to Game Mode, I noticed that the FPS preset made the image slightly darker, but this is a minor observation rather than a flaw. Installation was also easier than expected. Despite the panel being quite large and a bit heavy, I was able to set it up without even needing the manual. In short, this monitor beats VR in clarity, comfort, and usability. After just one week, I already feel like it’s elevated the quality of my flight training significantly. "I am a HSAD employee and I received a sample of the LG UltraGear 5K2K OLED (45GX950A) to try. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture Quality is a Game Changer Seeing this monitor in action was like putting new glasses on for the first time. Pictures and videos do not do the 5k2k screen resolution and deep, crisp colors justice. The monitor was extremely simple to set up and was as easy as plugging in and playing. After adjusting some of the color settings and calibrating, I tested its limits on various games and videos and it packs quite a punch. First off, while the screen itself is the main attraction, the design and shape of the monitor and stand fit right in with my setup. I appreciated how sleek the design was, and considering its specs it was not bulky at all. The larger, curved screen was an adjustment at first but the overall picture quality was sharp, crisp, and breathtaking, and paired well with my 9070 XT graphics card. Compared to other monitors I've used the display and adaptability are second to none. Switching between dual mode let me play competitive games at a higher refresh rate of 330Hz which increased my FPS dramatically, while switching back to the 5k2k resolution let me enjoy single-player games on higher quality settings with an impressive display to maximize how well the graphics looked. Being able to switch between gameplay quality and picture quality was a great feature and I found myself using it more often than I thought I would. It ran great on Marvel Rivals when I wanted more FPS and was able to make games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Monster Hunter Wilds look even more impressive than they already were. Even after some time it feels just as new as the day I unboxed it. It enhances the best parts and most important parts of your gaming experience and gives you the freedom to decide what you want to prioritize for different occasions. I highly recommend this monitor. I am an LG employee and received a sample of the 45” UltraGear OLED 5K2K Gaming Monitor to try. This is my honest review of the product. Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG's New Monitor, is one of the greats. The LG Ultragear Monitor is superb for gaming and amazing for productivity and daily use. The monitor's massive 45-inch screen and strong curve might look intimidating at first glance, but through my experience, I can almost guarantee you that once you get used to it, it’ll feel necessary for computer use, something you can rely on for any tasks. First, and probably the most important aspect, gaming: the 5K2K resolution allows for more precise visuals in games with higher graphic intensity. I felt as if games such as Forza Horizon 5, Hogwarts Legacy, and Microsoft Flight Simulator, all looked better with the use of this monitor, feeling like completely separate games, compared to my other monitor. The LG Ultragear really pushed me to try more graphically intense games like Forza Horizon 5, widely known as one of the most graphically stunning games. I was able to see each pixel of the monitor blend seamlessly to create the illusion that I was truly in the landscapes of Mexico. One of the key selling points, the flex (referring to its aggressive curve), is really no joke! The curve allows you to see all your favorite games the way they were intended. You’ve probably heard this many times before, but the flex really immerses you within the game. In the beginning, it might feel a little unconventional, but that’s just because it’s new, the flex is a lot for someone to take in, but trust me, once you get used to the curve, it makes everything feel so much faster. For example, the flex makes it so you don't have to move your neck around to find your different apps. Instead, due to the curve, you're able to just dart your eyes around, allowing for virtually no neck strain. This provides all the benefits of a larger monitor, such as multitasking, immersion within your favorite games, and more productive sessions, with little to no downsides. I also noted that with the monitor's lower blue light, I could focus on gaming and productivity without the constant need for breaks due to eye strain. This helped me finish large building projects in Minecraft, which looked amazing with shaders on this monitor by the way, and complete a huge chunk of the main campaign of Hogwarts Legacy. Speaking of Hogwarts Legacy, while playing through the game, it was really obvious that this monitor was OLED. The true-black pixels, exclusive to OLED monitors, added a whole new dimension to the game. It allowed for incredible contrast with the vibrant colors created through the game's visuals. Now, for the FPS and third-person shooter enthusiasts thinking about getting this monitor: its "Gaming Modes," specifically the FPS optimization, increased my framerate by a decent amount, around 40-50 FPS, while using the 5K2K mode. The monitor also features a 21:9 aspect ratio, allowing for support for most widely played games like Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, and Halo. I tried playing games like Fortnite and Marvel Rivals on this monitor, and let me tell you, it's a different scene entirely. Each game didn't just look and feel like a shooter, but also looked like it was supposed to be a visually-oriented game as well. If you need a boost in FPS or just want more hertz, the monitor supports a secondary mode with 330 Hz at an impressive 2560 x 1080 resolution. In specific, Fortnite looked even better, the realism that was able to be shown through little details like the sunset, water reflection, and shaders only got amplified with this new monitor. The only unfortunate side effect of this monitor is that I can't blame my whiffs on input lag anymore, thanks to the super fast DisplayPort 2.1, allowing for blazing-fast data speeds, along with the 0.03ms response time, making for lightning-quick gameplay. Overall, this monitor is a great buy. There's nothing else on the market quite like it. When you look at this monitor, you can clearly tell that LG is marketing it as a premium monitor, due to the overall posh “vibe” of the monitor and the insane graphics that come along with it. If you're serious about gaming, need something to aid in productivity, want to try out OLED, or want to fully utilize your PC, this monitor is for you. “I am a LG employee and I received a sample of the LG UltraGear 5K2K OLED (45GX950A) to try. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top The monitor is the best the money can gets in May 2025 ! I'm totally impressed by the colors and size. I have another monitor VA 49" which was my main and there is no comparison on how games look like here vs the other one. The curve is natural and zero disturbing and the opposite it is what it should be. Price is so good. You deserve it ! Nothing to regret

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The last monitor I'll ever buy This monitor is the best thing to ever happen to my home office. Coming from a multimonitor setup to this huge, single screen is a game changer for both productivity and gaming. Prior to buying, I was concerned that the curve would be too aggressive. I was relieved to discover that it's not noticeable at all. It helps with gaming immersion and doesn't impact my work (software development) at all. The picture on this thing is incredible. Colors are vivid, blacks are deep, and the panel is very bright. Even with a south-facing window in my office, the screen seems bright. I know I've seen some people have concerns about the matte coating. It's barely noticeable. I can't even tell it's there unless I put one of my older glossy monitors right next to it. Really, the screen does everything you want. Just keep in mind that you will need a solid graphics card to fully use the 5k resolution at the full refresh rate. If you don't have at least a 5080, the price may not be worth it. Connectivity-wise, I do wish it had more than one USB-C upstream port. The one that exists is fantastic, powering and connecting my Macbook Pro to peripherals through the USB-A ports just like a docking station. But additional upstream ports would have provided some KVM functionality, which would have been nice. That's not a deal-breaker at all, though. Overall, I love this thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for work and gaming It's the endgame monitor I've been hoping for. I've had zero issues getting it to work with my 2019 Macbook Pro, which was a surprise given the lack of 5K2K displays in 2019. Text clarity on the MBP is perfectly crisp. While I wasn't able to get it to work with the dock I had had, the included USB-C displayport cable works perfectly. I like having all of this space to arrange my windows for my software engineering job. On my 2020 Windows PC equipped with an RTX 3090, I've had almost no issues. While text clarity on my Windows PC isn't as good as my Macbook Pro, but I assume that that's just down to Windows and not the display. Gaming is excellent. My favorite game at the moment is Battlefield 5, and I'm able to more easily see soldiers on the ground while flying thanks to the high resolution and pixel density. HDR looks pretty good, though I've yet to play a game with HDR that really pops. I'm a huge fan of the curve. While photos of the display look silly, in reality, when sitting in front of the display, the sides of the display are just as close as the center to the eye. The impression is like being in an IMAX theater, which also has a curved screen. In my opinion, the wrap-around is more immersive than a flat screen. I had previously tried the 4K gaming displays that came out last year, and was just a little disappointed, finding them to be only a modest step forward from what I was using before. This, however, is a huge leap forward and I'm extremely satisfied. The only thing holding me back is my older PC- a problem which I'm going to change soon! It's challenging for me to imagine how displays can meaningfully improve from this point - this feels like it could be the last monitor I'll ever buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly end-game panel This is the best monitor I have ever used. In a desktop setting, everything is crisp and clear. I have a fairly deep desk so I don't have to crane my neck. I use HDMI 2.1, which works for me. Not sure why people even bother to use DP 2.1 when HDMI 2.1 works perfectly well for this style of display. In games, holy crap. This thing rules. Playing games at 5k 165hz is an incredible experience. Add the HDR to it and it's even better. Baldur's Gate 3 never looked so good. I can't really tell the difference between 165 and 330 in games like rocket league, so I don't really bother with the dual mode, although that might be a selling point for some. The only criticism I've seen of the dual mode is that it does not perfectly scale, which it should be able to; going from 5120x2160 to 2560x1080 should mean that the pixels scale perfectly, but there is some fringing. See Optimum's review on youtube for more details.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Monitor Fantastic monitor that checks all of the boxes. Great image quality, high refresh rate, multiple resolution options and features, 1300 nit peak HDR, large format, and amazing PPI. Incredibly immersive for gaming, and the built in split screen and multi input options are great for productivity. My only concern was the 800r curvature, but when you're sat in front of the monitor, it just wraps around your field of vision and the curve isn't noticeable. Highly recommended. Best monitor on the market currently as of Q1 2025 hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture The resolution / picture quality of this monitor is stunning. Coming from a 4K LG CX I was expecting a somewhat better picture, but was completely blown away the first time I booted up TLOU Part 2, and AC Shadows. I haven't been able to fully test DP 2.1 yet due to driver issues on Nvidia's end, but 5K@165 works flawlessly via DP 1.4. The 2.1 black screen issue was supposed to be fixed via 576.02, but issue is still present. Assuming the DP 2.1 issues are fixed soon. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone with a GPU that can handle these resolutions and framerates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Amazing Monitor!! OMG!!!! Wow!!! This is my very first gaming monitor from LG and LG, you did NOT disappoint!! My experience so far has been an AMAZING one!! Both gaming modes work great! The 330hz 1080p mode doesn't look as bad as I thought it would look. What an incredible immersive experience!! The ONLY issue I've had with the monitor was the deep sleep feature. For some reason, it would not wake, and the only way to get the monitor to wake was to restart my computer (that's an absolute no-go, as who wants to do that every single time the monitor goes to sleep after inactivity?). So to resolve that issue, I simply turned that feature off in the menu settings and since doing that, I've had ZERO issues with this monitor (the monitor still goes to sleep after inactivity, and now wakes as normal with a simple keyboard button press or movement of the mouse). This monitor is EASILY one of the most immersive monitors ever made. Image cleaning, HDR, gaming modes all work great with no issues in my experience. I haven't tried the HDMI port, but I will do so and update this review if I encounter any issues with HDMI. This monitor is pricey, but you most certainly get what you pay for! If you're on the fence about buying this monitor, I say with absolute certainty go for it! You will not be disappointed. I'm completely blown away by the immersion and picture quality of this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Monitor (read if having HDR issues) I'll start by saying that I love the image quality, curvature, brightness, resolution, and speed of this monitor. It is truly immersive for a gaming experience. I have had one issue with the monitor and wanted to share a possible resolution for anyone else experiencing it. I have the monitor paired with an Asus ROG Astral 5090 graphics card. In the native resolution and refresh rate (5120x2160 and 165Hz) if I enable HDR in windows, the screen will go black and claim loss of input. Initially, the only way to get video again was to use Win+Alt+B to disable HDR and hard reset the computer. 5120x2160 at 165 Hz and 10bit HDR would be 60 Gbps and require UBR20 or DSC. This monitor is only capable of UBR13.5, so I assume the issue is with negotiating usage of DSC. I found that if I configure the monitor's "Input Compatibility Version" to 1.4, this fixed the issue and allowed me to run 5120x2160 at 165 Hz and 10bit HDR. This is found under the General section of the monitor's configuration. The monitor and my Asus ROG Astral 5090 graphics card both support display port 2.1. I'm not sure if the DSC negotiation issue is on the side of the monitor or the graphics cards, but I hope to see a firmware update fix in the future to resolve the incompatibility.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredibly immersive monitor Incredibly immersive monitor. The 800r curve is incredible as it wraps arounds your field of view. Definitely an improvement over the G9 oled I had. My only complain it's the matte coating it's definitely not as good as a glossy one, and it's a bit blurry in light colors (looking at the sky in games). Other than that it's an amazing monitor, I just wish it was glossy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gaming monitor - no displayport 2.1 Great monitor with amazing picture quality. Definitely can notice the PPI difference compared to the older version. Games look amazing. Was skeptical about curve, but it does not bother me, may actually prefer over a flat version now. I have docked one point for the displayport 2.1 which this is supposed to support but does not. Displayport 1.4 works fine with HDR, but when I turn on HDR with displayport 2.1, there is no signal. From reading the online threads, no one has this working and I have tried 3 different cables, so it is not my setup issue. Definitely an issue with the monitor firmware/software. If this ever gets fixed, I will update my review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful if it wakes up in time to use. wish i wouldn't have bought it, It is a beautiful panel when working properly, it is stupid bad slow to wake up and anytime i open a app or a game loads it says no signal going to sleep and blinks or flashes black a few times and takes a min or two then the screen will come back on. I returned the old Model waiting for the 5kx2k for the higher resolution, the old model there wasn't ever a issue. instant wake up no signal loss like it switching... using a 5090 and already swapped to different ports on back of it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor HDR Brightness… This monitor is being intentionally held back in maximum brightness in HDR during the 10% APL highlights. The Windows HDR calibration tool clips/maxes out at ~600 nits instead of around 800 nits. PG32UCDP monitor is able to achieve 800 nits in the 10% APL. In addition, vignetting is turned on by default and should not be on at all. This monitor needs a firmware, asap, to address low HDR brightness and to permanently disable CPC/vignetting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A MASSIVE dissapointment. Quite the DUD I am so dissapointed in this monitor. I have a loaded PC that can run anything. First of all, the color out of the box was not calibrated great. When I finally got that done, I was really dissapointed with the refresh rate flicker. I did all the tricks and checked every troubleshooting topic. As I type this thing fliickers once about every 10 seconds. My Asus 5090 is fine, my board is fine, everything is updated. I am RUNNING to the store tomorrow to return this monitor. Why didn't you wait LG until you could do 240 hz on a DP 2.1 UBHR 20? Where is the QD Led screen. SOOOO MANY THINGS have gone wrong in less than 3 days. Going with the MSI MPG322URX, while I'm going down in size I know that i won't have to worry and the display will be worth just as much as the GPU running it, which this is not. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Allow us to permanently disable CPC/Vignetting Allow us to permanently disable CPC/Vignetting on the monitor. When going in the service menu and turning off CPC, you get a HUGE brightness boost on the edges of the screen, however once you turn off the monitor the vignetting is back, forcing you to go back into the service menu to disable it... There's absolutely no reason why vignetting should be enabled on the monitor by default.
