Rated 5 out of 5 by from Having some knowledge You have to understand a little about WIFI when you install most any router. The 2.4GHz versus 5GHz and what your wireless clients prefer. For instance: My TIVO prefers the 2.4GHz and works flawlessly. When I try to connect it to the 5GHz it drops the connection. iPhones and IPADS automatically connect to the 2.4GHz. Others you may have to be more specific. So I am sure many of the bad or questionable reviews for this or any router is because people don't fully understand what they are doing. Not a criticism. These issues are not readily apparent if you aren't familiar with the technology or are just in a hurry or in "AUTO" mode. So far I have had no problems after ensuring my devices were connected to the right signal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Router This is the best router that I have owned. The one EA9300 in the middle of the house gets good coverage everywhere in my 2200SF try-level home. I have over 37 wi-fi devices (including about 10 security cams) 5 Amazon Fire TV boxes and it handles the loads just fine. I love the device prioritization feature that pushes more to select TV's that we use the most often. Doing Wi-Fi speed tests on app on Amazon FireTV I get about 230MPBS wi-fi speed on the TV's. I do have fiber internet with 1Ghz connection, so this obviously helps. I have some computers hard wired via ethernet and get around 950MBPS, so very good. All around I could not be happier with the EA9300. I would have gotten the EA9500, but the processor was better on the 9300 than the 9500, which I thought was strange. Keep up the good work Linksys and push through those firmware updates to keep the hackers out !! Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best router I have every owned. Bought this router to replace my Dlink...I am a die hard Dlink fan and was worried but trusted the reviews. Best decision, Best router! Easy setup, tons of intuitive controls, works like a charm, huge WIFI coverage, and super fast internet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Serious Upgrade I've always used Linksys routers and I have no plans to ever switch. They always maintain a solid connection without drops. When it came time to upgrade, I wanted something that could handle lots of devices and the demands of streaming 4K media. This was my choice. Needless to say, it's performed FLAWLESSLY for several months and I could NOT imagine a better product. Kudos Linksys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG!!!!! bye bye netgear..... just converted over from the r9000 AC1900 nether nighthawk. With 4 iPads, 4 computers,3 xboxes, 3 media streamers 2 nest thermostats, songs speakers, echo dots, etc..... the nighthawk could not hang. I upgraded my service to 1gig and the router would not do anything over 250 mbps either wireless or hardwired. This thing hit over 600 mbps on the setup at speedtest.net and it was all smiles from there. The setup was soon easy and the smartwifi app with the network map is awesome. You can find all your devices immediately and they are named. FYI, xboxes are pinging at over 400 mbps over hardwire with all above wireless devices attached.... Merry christmas to me.. oh yeah, in my 4500 sq ft house I am getting 65% signal in the most remote corner of my house...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable and fast. No need fancy features Unlike other brands, Linksys focuses on stability. My last Linksys router used for 7 years and only disconnected few times. But this EA9300, it is a "bunker". My office has 10 people working on 3D designers and gaming - most heavy users. Few Macs + PCs + mobiles + servers+ totally more than 20 devices with YouTubes, facebooks whatsapp all connected to this EA9300 with 2 switches and wifi. Used it for a month, in 5 x 10 hours it keeps stability, stay connected and go much more faster than my old Linksys model. I have tried another brand Nxtgxxr which was provided by network company. It was down every day. Clearly only Linksys can get the job done. Keep your good work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from work great This is a nice tri band router, not as fast as the EA9500, this router has tri stream compared to EA9500 quad stream. But the EA9300 in specs beats out the EA9500 version 1. The Ea9300 has a quad core 1.8 processor with 256 MB of flash ram and 512 MB of system ram. the version of the EA9500. Version 2 is suppose to be higher in specs with 1.8 quad core processor and 128 MB of flash memory and 1 GB of system memory. All in all, you can't go wrong with this model. I have 30 devices connected to it and it has not slowed down a bit. The NAS of this device is very fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phone app makes setup fantastic [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the ea9300 for about 2 months now to put it a thorough testing. I have Comcast’s modem and voip modem currently. I wanted to see how it would work with just adding it to a Comcast modem. Wow. Setup was the easiest I’ve ever done for myself or friends. I bridged the Comcast modem. Shutting off their router. Installed the ea9300. Not only can I choose who uses 2.4ghz or 5 ghz wireless Network. To keep phones off faster network for my streaming units for tv. Like Netflix or others. I can still setup guest accounts for each. I just had resided house with cat 7 cables for game systems and PCs. I can prioritize PCs and optimize games. After showing my kids and their friends our network, linksys just got 6 more sales. I can’t say enough good things. Even with software vpn for my wireless network. I have fantastic speed. Not just for gamers. This is a family solution without making lots of changes to your existing network. As a parent I can control everything from my linksys phone app. Compared to other brands I tried, it’s worth every penny and a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Impressed Just received this router this morning and it's been up for 4.5 hours running flawlessly. Have 14 devices connected with the wife streaming, son is playing WOW, I'm streaming netflix on Roku, streaming History Channel on my iPad, streaming cable TV on my computer, copying my 40,000+ music files and movie files to a HDD attached to the router. No one is complaining about any kind of slow down or lag. My last router, which was an ASUS AC3100, could not handle all this activity. Also had to wire up a USB powered fan to blow air in so the ASUS didn't overheat. Love this Linksys. Hope it keeps on performing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Range & Single Strength (Speed) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already had a Linksys EA9200 which works great and this EA9300 works even better. It is a tri-band wireless router that has 1 -2.4 Gigabyte band and 2 - 5 Gigabyte bands. Our Internet connection gives us download speeds of 70 Mbps and upload speeds of 5 Mbps and I am able to get that speed on all of my devices that are connected both with Ethernet wires and on the 5 Gigabyte wireless bands. I can only get about 35 Mbps on the 2.4 Gigabyte band but I only use that band for my slower devices. The slower speed on the 2.4 Gigabyte band is at least partially contributed to the fact that we have over a dozen close neighbors who also have wireless routers on that band that cause interference with our router. Our house has 3,200 square feet and the router does a very good job of providing coverage for all of it. The router stays up and running with no dropped connections. This router is not one of the cheapest routers available but it is certainly one of the very best and I would highly recommend it. It was very simple to set up and comes with an smartphone app that allows you to access and control it from your smartphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Router [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a breeze setting up this router following the instructions. I am not a techy, so do follow instructions. It even automatically opened my browser and went to the Linksys setup window. It does tell you to wait 2 minutes during the setup process. Be sure to wait the full 2 minutes. It seems like a long time when doing nothing but waiting. When the first time didn't work, I set a timer and it was a lot longer than I thought. Worked perfectly. The 2 minutes is crucial to the ease of verifying your internet provider. You can't go wrong with this router. Works great!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Internet speeds with no lag [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this at no cost for my honest review. The EA9300 Max-Stream Router has 3 WI-Fi bands (1) 2.4 GHz and (2) 5 GHz providing plenty of band width to support many connected devices. It provides lag free media streaming, gaming and web browsing simultaneously. Setup was very easy and intuitive, directions are simple and easy to understand. Once connected visiting the Lynksys web site allows you make various changes like setting new passwords, prioritizing devices, parental controls as well as advanced settings. The EA-9300 also has a separate guest network allowing guest to easily connect and use the Wi-Fi without having full access to the house network. With the Lynksys mobile app installed you have complete control over the network wherever you are. It allows you to see all connected devices, turn on/off the guest network, and add parental controls so you can set time limits and web browsing restrictions for all connected devices as well as reboot the system. The range on the AC-9300 far exceeds our previous router, providing a strong signal to every corner the house. I would definitely recommend this for a Wi-Fi hungry household that demands a reliable uninterrupted signal with speeds to handle many devices at once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, capable wireless router [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although the wizard setup ignores many features I use, once configured for the LAN I was able to customize the settings I needed such as custom DNS servers. I think you should develop a separate set of instructions about adding it to an existing wireless network. That situation is more common today than setting up a network for the first time. I liked that it detected the current network and imported the settings. The web GUI is not very intuitive, but everything you need can be found. I would like to see a couple of improvements to the firmware page: 1) a link to the release notes so I don't have to look for it and 2) a checkbox to indicate I am skipping the current update and don't want to be notified until the next one. You could always disable the "skip update" feature when security fixes are included. Also I would like to see the "Connectivity" menu item on the home page renamed to "Administration" or "Configuration" as it does not clearly convey what it is for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Router [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up was almost as easy as plug and play. No problems there. After connecting all devices, I noticed a significant improvement in download speed - so did my wife - and that's saying something! After a few weeks of testing the router and looking for negatives, I can say for certain, I haven't encountered any. The only problem I foresee for some individuals, it might be an eyesore. Personally, I think it looks cool and it reminds me that we're living in the best (technological) times ever! The Linksys AC4000 Router won't disappoint. Full Disclosure: I received the product for free to sample and give an honest review. I have given you my honest review and opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A power house that does it all [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its been a while since I've considered upgrading my wireless router and I'm glad I waited! My home up till now has had to use a Wi-Fi extender to ensure that all parts of our home had Wi-Fi coverage and even then from time to time I experienced some lag time when more than a few devices were accessing the internet at the same time. That's no longer the case thanks to this router! The frustration level with lag time is no longer a problem and my son-in-law the gamer can battle it out with the rest of his friends online, while my wife and daughter stream their movies and at the same time my son who's taking some online college courses that have some instructor lead video conferences from time to time can all occur at the same time. Before the addition of this product we had to limit other online activities during his classes and he had to be hard wired to the old router to ensure he could participate in his classes. Out of the box the set up was as simple as it gets, the Wi-Fi signal even covers most of our front and back yard so I can even work outside with my laptop or stream music to the patio. The Tri-band feature is great and ensures the max speed for all of our individual devices as well. I also like the fact that there are two USB 3.0 ports on the back which I used to set up a network printer and an external hard drive for my wife's photo hobby. It will be great to only now have to remember one set of ink printer refills numbers, and access to a printer in one general location for all to use. I also travel out of town frequently so having the Linksys app will be great for accessing the router and my home network from anywhere. In the near future I'm also planning on upgrading my home theater and TV system and I'm sure that this product will more than exceed my expectations when I upgrade to 4K video and a new surround sound system. At the heart of it all is the 1.8 ghz quadcore process that ensures that everyone can enjoy lag free Wi-Fi at our home now! Linksys has certainly raised the bar for others to follow on this device and I am extremely satisfied with the features I utilized now and can't wait to see how it performs with my future video/audio purchase as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Tech [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This router is top in its class, for simplicity, reliability, and for security. Linksys set up is simple but can be confusing. I used advanced features to ensure set up from a older Linksys was exact. Once configuration was complete, all the devices (wireless) were connected with out hesitation. Streaming was quick and downloads were fast. Range was considerable increased, and dropout locations no longer existed. Security was tested on open ports and alerts were sent to my phone (using the mobile app). Impressed, and going to suggest at my work place we update and use the same product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monster of a Router [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This router is huge and it makes sense because its stuffed with power. My old router was becoming strained due to the 15+ devices in my home connected to our network. I'm streaming 1080p movies while my kids are on the Switch and Playstation. And also pushing through GBs of data a day for my work-from-home job. Router has had no trouble handling it all. Range and speed has been great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy To Set Up [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, for someone who is not a hardcore ‘techie,’ I found this router very easy to configure and administer. I started the set-up using a Chrome browser on my phone. The only glitch I ran into is that the Smart Wi-Fi set-up step did not support the Chrome browser; it wanted the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi app to be installed. I just continued the set-up from my desktop since I did not need to use the Smart Wi-Fi feature. The basic set-up (including a firmware update) took just a few minutes. The administration interface is very similar to my existing EA7300 router's, so it was simple to customize (enabling MAC filtering, turning off guest network). Even without the prior familiarity, the pages are pretty intuitive and easy to navigate through. From a security perspective, a test of the first 1,056 TCP ports came up clean, showing the ports were closed and ignoring requests. The range has been good. I have not encountered any dead spots in my two-story home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great router very easy set up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] UPS dropped off the EA9300 Thursday afternoon I couldn’t believe the size of the box. The router was a little larger the those that I had previously used but the way the product was packed provide amble shipping protection. After unpacking and reviewing the quick connect materials I had it connected to my cable router and two wired desktops and running wirelessly within a half hour. Password setup was a breeze I just plugged in my current username and password and all my wireless devices connected with no extra effort. I am streaming wirelessly to two Roku devices as well as two mobile phones, a tablet and laptop the signal strength seems to have greatly improved and remains consistent, I had one Roku device hard wired and another streaming wirelessly, I think the wireless setup is performing better than the wired one. I have installed several routers the EA9300 is by far the easiest to set up and connect to multiple wireless devices. I plan on connecting an external hard drive to one of the two provide 3.0 USB connections soon to check out the network sharing capability I am sure it will be just as straightforward. It is amazing how stress free the process is. For anyone who is looking of more speed, range, consistency and a stress-free setup this router has it going on.
